Vice Ganda slams questions about basketball star

Ace comedian Vice Ganda bashed questions linking him to his alleged former lover basketball star Terence Romeo of the GlobalPort Batang Pier team.

In a video uploaded by ABS-CBN, reporters asked Vice Ganda to comment on the engagement of Romeo who uploaded the special news on Instagram, one day after the comedian successfully staged his concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City last February 14.

"I don't want to talk about him," said Vice Ganda as he smiled.

On Feb. 15, Romeo shared a photo of the engagement ring. It was captioned: "Thank you, Lord I was able to find my true love in this lifetime. I'm officially off the market! Happy Valentine's to all. God bless us."

Vice Ganda and Romeo were romantically linked in 2014. Both have repeatedly denied the rumors.

During the spoken word portion of the sold-out concert, Vice Ganda recalled his emotional break-up with his boyfriend which his fans believe alluded to Romeo.

"Gusto sana natin magkasama tayong dalawa sa siksikan, sa bawat laro mo, sa bawat three points mo, gusto ko sanang nandoon ako para magpalakpakan at gusto kong isigaw na, 'P**ang i*a, jowa ko iyan.' Pero hindi natin magawa kasi natatakot tayong parehong mapaguspan," he said at one point.

"Kaya kahit pareho tayong nagtagumpay, pareho tayong talunan. Ang sakit," he also said. "Hindi niyo alam kung gaano kasakit. Kapag naalala ko para akong namamatay sa sakit."

The comedian hinted about his previous relationship with with the guy who called him "Juliet."

But Vice Ganda said that he was happy that his latest boyfriend was present at the Big Dome to support him.

The box-office star did not reveal the identity of his latest flame although he hinted in the past that his new boyfriend is connected with show business.

“Masaya. Masaya yung nandudoon siya, siyempre,” he said.

“Kasi ang chaka, ang pangit naman kung wala rin siya doon. Baka magtaka rin siya, ‘Bakit hindi ako invited? Bakit wala akong ticket?'” Vice Ganda added.

The comedian has just renewed an exclusive contract with the Kapamilya network. - Robert Requintina/Tempo
