Ai Ai delas Alas, BF to marry in 2018

Comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas is engaged to be married to her boyfriend Gerald Sibayan in 2018.

This after delas Alas said yes to the marriage proposal of Sibayan who asked her to marry him through a red heart-shaped piece of paper.

Sibayan also gave delas Alas a Frappucino with the words "Can you be my misis?"

Delas Alas said "yes" which she wrote on the palm of her hand.

The proposal happened on their third anniversary as sweethearts.

"Some knots are meant to be tied forever. Our journey is not perfect but its ours and ill stick with you till the end . I will pray to our great GOD that our journey will be smooth and sweet towards eternity;"


"HAPPY 3rd year anniversary my darling and thank you for the very paandar pangmayaman na flowers.. sabi nga ni kambal ako lang meron nyan ... thank you @floravidabymarian ..i love you so much .. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME," said delas Alas on Instagram on April 12.

Delas Alas thanked God for Sibayan.

"Maraming akong dapat ipag pasalamat sa ating DYOS ang HARI NG MGA HARI .... SA aming ikatlong taon ng anibersaryo, binigyan nya ko ng mabait na makakasama sa buhay ( na binigyan ako ng pang shopping hehehe first time ahhhh sa buong buhay ko) , walang kaming sakit ng pamilya ko ,at higit sa lahat sa pagtubos NYA ang panginoong HESUS sa ating mga kasalanan bilang tao... mahal na inang BIRHEN MARIA ipanalngin mo po kami," she said.


In July 2016, Delas Alas, 52, said that she is single again now that the court has granted her petition to divorce her former husband Jed Salang.

Delas Alas and Salang got married in Las Vegas on April 3, 2013.

After one month, the couple separated after the actress accused him of physical abuse.


In an interview with PEP in December 2015, the actress shared her thoughts about getting married to Sibayan.

“Oo, puwede na, ika-third year, puwede na. Naghihintay lang ako ng tamang panahon para diyan. Or kung ano yung tinadhanang panahon para sa aming dalawa," Delas Alas said.

"Alam naman natin na bata pa si Gerald. Pero hindi naman sa edad yun. Ang kanya lang gusto, stable siya. Mature ang pag-iisip, e. Ang parati niyang iniisip, ‘Anong ipapakain ko kay Martina [totoong pangalan ni Ai-Ai]?’' she added.

Sibayan is a former star player of the DLSU Badminton team.


In 2012, Sibayan was named “Rookie of the Year” by University Athletic Association of the Philippines.

He is presently taking Sports Management at DLSU and he also dreams of becoming a pilot.

Delas Alas has acted as manager of the DLSU badminton team.

Sibayan met the actress through Sancho, son of the comedienne, who is studying at the DLSU.

Delas Alas was previously married to actor Miguel Vera with whom they have two children. She has another son from a previous relationship. - ROBERT R. REQUINTINA
