How Pia Wurtzbach met Marlon Stockinger

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has said that she had a crush on her boyfriend Filipino-Swiss F1 driver Marlon Stockinger since 2014.

"Crush ko s'ya nung 2014 pa lang. Candidate ako sa Binibining Pilipinas. E di ba nung year na yun hindi naman ako nanalo. So sine-search kong ganyan tapos pinakita ko sa mga friends ko sabi ko 'uy ang gwapo nito.' Nung mga panahon na yun may girlfriend pa sya. Sabi ko 'ay abort mission. Wag na.' At saka iniisip ko nun candidate pa lang ako kaya focus muna ako sa laban," said Wurtzbach during an interview on "Gandang Gabi Vice" on ABS-CBN last April 2.

Wurtzbach appeared on the late-night talk show which was taped few days before fashion model Kit Barraquias confirmed that Stockinger was the biological father of her twins.

Stockinger, who also appeared on the show, admitted that he really does not know Wurtzbach.

"Kasi kahit nanalo si Pia ng Miss Universe, I didn't know her. Nung nakita ko yung notifications ko sa Instagram, yung pangalan Pia Wurtzbach, tapos na check ko lang. Tapos yun I messaged her. ever since that day we started talking," he said.

"I knew that Philippines won but I didn't know that it was Pia. Tapos nagbalita sa news Miss Universe Philippines. So nalaman ko si Pia na 'yan. That's when I messaged her kasi not everyday Miss Universe will follow you or like your picture," added Stockinger.

Wurtzbach said: "Pero naisip ko grabe ah, ang dami ko palang dapat pagdaanan. para mapansin mo pa ako. Kailangan manalo muna ako sa Binibining Pilipinas, manalo muna sa Miss Universe, I-follow muna kita. Parang ako nanligaw sa'yo eh."


She added: "Nung nabasa ko na, sabi ko, cge mga one hour muna. bago ako magre reply. sabi ko pag iisipan ko muna yun."

Vice Ganda also showed on screen the exchange of messages between Wurtzbach and Stockinger.

"It's nice to be followed back from the most beautiful person in the Universe. Looking forward to meeting you one day and keep representing the Philippines Pia," said Stockinger. 

Wurtzbach said: "Thank you Marlon. Is that how people call you? Marlon or do you have a nickname?"

Stockinger said: "Unfortunately I don't get called Mr Universe so it's just Marlon haha."

He added: "Slowly but surely lang. When we got to know each other na, it keeps rolling na. Also I got kilig din."
