Apart from the beach and travelling, newly crowned Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2017 Rachel Peters adores dogs.

Just check out her Instagram posts and you'll see tons of images in which she poses with her own dogs or just play around with local canines on the beach.

Nearly half of her posts on Instagram are about dogs.

On March 29, Peters even uploaded on IG an image of her late dog.

The caption read: "This is Basil. I begged and prayed for him for countless years as a little girl and one day fourteen years ago, I picked him out from a litter of puppies. Honestly one of the happiest memories of my childhood. He left us for doggy heaven today and as much as it breaks my heart, I know you're in a better place. Love you forever Basy Boy 😭"
