Kagandahang Flores sets eyes on male talents

Don't look now but Rodgil Flores, head of the Kagandahang Flores beauty camp, has revealed that his camp would soon accept male talents for modelling or pageants.

"Priority pa rin would be girls or ladies joining national pageants but I'm also looking at that aspect," said Flores. "Kumbaga there would be KF male division."

Flores and his team groomed John Raspado, who won Mr Gay World contest held in Spain recently.

"Tinuruan namin sya sa poise, rampa, sa question and answer;"

Asked who is more difficult to be trained - male or female?

Flores said: "Mas nadadalian ako sa lalaki kasi sa lalaki kumbaga they have the basic walk, the basic steps, they just improve on it. Unlike sa babae na sobrang competitive na kasi talaga ng contest ng mga babae ngayon."

"You have to give more time to the girls. Talagang todo research," he added.

The KF beauty camp has successfully trained beauty queens namely former Miss International winners Precious Lara Quigaman and Bea Rose Santiago; Miss Earth titleholders Angelia Ong, Jamie Herrell, Karla Henry, among others.

Rachel Peters who will represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2017 later this year also belongs to the KF camp. Other beauties in the same camp are Bb. Pilipinas Globe Nelda Ibe and Bb Pilipinas Grand International Elizabeth Clenci.

"Pero ganun din ang ginawa namin sa lalaki kay John Raspado. Sa pagsali n'ya sa Mr Gay World, ano ba ang dapat naming gawin para manalo sya?" Flores said.

Flores also said there is less tension when teaching males to females.

"Sa lalaki kasi less ang tension. Before, I trained Mike Mendoza who won the Model Search in WICOPA, Years ago, a decade ago yata, I also trained Bobby Magoo," he said.

Flores said that he might go full blast with the KF male division next year. - ROBERT REQUINTINA
