Marvin Agustin hopeful on reunion film with Jolina

Actor-restaurateur Marvin Agustin has said that he is still hopeful that his reunion movie with Jolina Magdangal will materialize.

"I think alam nyo naman kung gaano kahirapo gumawa ng pelikula ngayon. So I think tina trabaho takaga nila yung mas magandang concept, mas magandang storya, mas magandang comeback for the both of us," said Agustin during an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on ABS CBN.

"Kami ni Jolina ay asang-asa. Gusto namin matuloy yun," Agustin added.

Agustin, 38. also said that he opened a new restaurant in San Francisco, USA.

"It's called Bow Down. It's a gastro-bar from Vancouver. The reason why I invested in this concept kasi yuntg dalawang brothers, talagang tsina-champion nila yung Filipino cuisine," the actor said.

Agustin appeared on the drama anthology "Ipaglaban Mo" on the Kapamilya network with rising actress Ria Atayde.

He recalled meeting Ria when she was much younger.

"Si Tita Sylvia (Sanchez) lagi kong nanay yan. Madaming shows na sya ang mom ko. Tapos dinadala nya sila Ria at Arjo (Atayde). Ngayon leading lady ko na," Agustin said.

Asked what's it like to work with Ria, Agustin said: "She's fun! Magaling, parang nanay n'ya, maganda, parang nanay n'ya. At saka matalinong bata." - ROBERT REQUINTINA
