Rachelle Ann Go, Martin Spies are engaged

Filipino Broadway star Rachelle Ann Go is now engaged to American boyfriend Martin Spies.

This after Go posted a photo on Instagram which showed Spies proposing to her in Boracay Island.

"I  just prayed for this on my 31st birthday and just like that this happened. What an amazing God we have. Thank you Father God for this man. A man who loves you first. I still cannot believe this!!!aahhh!" said Go, in a caption on IG.


Go turned 31 last August 31. Spies is a business executive based in New York City who is affiliated with American luxury fitness company Equinox.

Previously, the Filipino-Chinese singer was in a relationship with "Pinoy Big Brother" winner Slater Young. They reportedly split in 2014.

Go began her career by winning a nationally-televised singing competition "Search for a Star" at the age of 17. Since then, she has released seven multi platinum solo albums and has appeared in various shows and international concerts.


Other theater credits include Ariel in The Little Mermaid (Manila), Jane Porter in Tarzan (Manila), and Fantinein Les Miserables (London and Manila). Her stunning performance was captured on film in "Miss Saigon -The 25th Anniversary Performance" screened in cinemas in the US and around the world.

Go reprised her role as Gigi Van Tranh in the hit musical Miss Saigon on Broadway She appeared in Miss Saigon with the support of Actors' Equity Association.

At West End, Go is playing Elizabeth Hamilton in the critically-acclaimed "Hamilton." - ROBERT REQUINTINA
