Misters of Filipinas, PEPPS celebrate good times

It's that time of the year when Prime Event Productions Philippines Foundation, Inc. (PEPPS) celebrates the success of its prestigious male pageant Misters of Filipinas at the Romulo Cafe in Timog, Quezon City.

The thanksgiving party also coincided with the media send-off for CJ Cundangan Querol who will represent the Philippines in the first Mister Universe Tourism pageant which will be held in Manila on October 15.

"Finally, this is it!" said Querol who was given a rousing party by his batch mates, officials of PEPPS and new winners of Misters of Filipinas contest last Oct. 7.

At the event were the newly crowned Misters of Filipinas - Raven Renz Lansangan, Misters of Filipinas 2017 – International: Clint Karklins Peralta, Misters of Filipinas 2017 – Man of the World: Yves Campos, Misters of Filipinas 2017 – Supranational; Rubi Kinst, Misters of Filipinas 2017 – Man of the Year; Carlo Pasion, Misters of Filipinas 2017 – Ocean; and Ion Perez, Misters of Filipinas 2017 – Universe Tourism.

Also in attendance were the candidates of the Misters of Filipinas 2017 pageant and mediamen who cover the pageant scene.

Richard Montoya, PEPPS director of legal affairs, who just arrived from a much-needed vacation in Malaysia and Singapore, hosted the twin celebrations.

PEPPS president Carlo Morris Galang, Jhune Salud, JP Anonuevo, Aski Pascual and other officials of the organization welcomed the guests during dinner.

Guests feasted on delicious dishes prepared by Romulo Cafe such as Crispy Squid, Tinapa Roll, Sinigang Na Bangus Belly In Ripe Guava, Beef Adobo Ribs, Romulo House Salad, Lechon Kawali, Adobong Manok sa Gata, Bangus Belly, and Spaghetti With Shrimp and Aligue Sauce.

The fun continued as Montoya handed out special awards to the early birds. Among the reporters and photographers, Celso Caparas of the Philippine Star was the first to arrive.

Of the Misters, Perez and Lansangan were the first ones to arrive. All the early bird awardees went home P5,000 cash each.

PEPPS also raffled off chocolates and more cash prizes as guests enjoyed parlor games. Since Montoya and the other "Misters" Batch 2016 had just arrived from abroad, it was just fitting that some of the cash prizes were in dollars.

Guests also sang and cheered for the birthday boys of Misters of Filipinas, who are celebrating their birth anniversaries in October.

Others who enjoyed the party were Mister International Philippines Miguel Mari Guia; Misters of Filipinas Man of the World Christopher Dulagan; Misters of Filipinas Supranational AR dela Serna;
Misters of Filipinas Man of the Year Issa Janda; and Mister Ocean Philippines Vincent Jarina.

It was another night to remember for PEPPS and Misters of Filipinas. And as they say, "Once A Misters, Always A Misters!" - ROBERT REQUINTINA
