Vic Sotto, Pauleen Luna welcome baby girl

Kapuso star Pauleen Luna has given birth to a bouncing baby girl, her husband comedian-television host Vic Sotto announced on Nov. 6.

Sotto broke the good news on his popular noontime program "Eat Bulaga" on GMA 7.

"Ayun, pag-alis ako ng ospital, lumulundag-lundag pa rin,” Sotto said on national television.

On Oct. 28, Luna said on Instagram that she would be taking a maternity leave from the noontime program.

"Thank you Eat Bulaga for a fun filled afternoon. Especially for all your gifts, love and support for our little girl. I’m starting my maternity leave and will rest for the arrival of our baby. See you again next year, dabarkads! Please pray for me and with me for a smooth, easy and fast delivery! Thank you again and see you guys soon!" said Luna.

In February 2016, Sotto has said that he was thrilled to start another chapter of family life with Luna to the point of changing diapers for their future babies.

"Ako ang bahala dun, sagot ko na yung pagpapalit ng lampin. Wala ng problema sa akin yun, praktisado na ako dun.. Nakahanda na ako dun. Ewan ko lang kung ipapa-ubaya nila sa akin," Sotto told multi-awarded broadcast journalist Jessica Soho in an exclusive interview in "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" aired over GMA-7.

But Luna, 28, said that she was more than ready to do it for their future kids."Mahilig talaga ako sa kids and babies so if that will come, I will give my 100 percent to them."

After more than four years of being sweethearts, Sotto and Luna finally got married in Alabang, Muntinlupa City last January 30, 2016.

Sotto, 63, has four children from previous relationships - Danica and Oyo Boy were his children with former wife actress Dina Bonnevie; Vico, with Coney Reyes and Paulina with Angela Luz. This is Luna's first baby. - ROBERT REQUINTINA
