Ellen's Aesthetic Center to mark 39th anniversary on June 17

Cheers! Ellen's Aesthetic Center is turning 39 on June 17!

Owned by hardworking proprietor Ellen Lising, also dubbed "Queen of Permanent Cosmetics, the aesthetic center has never stopped beautifying and making her clients look young since it was first launched in 1979.

"At Ellen's, we want to make sure that you will not just visit us once. Babalik at babalik kayo sa amin," says Ellen when she sat down with some members of the blogging community at the Via Mare Restaurant in Quezon City last June 8.

She adds: "We take that extra step. We welcome you and make the personal connection. We have been here for many years and our commitment stays the same."

At 65, Ellen could not still remember if she was the first one to pioneer in aesthetics.

"I would like to believe it that way. Pero siguro let's just say I'm one of the very few who established an aesthetic center in the country," says Ellen.

Ellen enumerates the basic skin care and permanent cosmetics services available in her aesthetic center: Basic Facial, Oxypeel Facial Treatment, Thermage, Diamond Peel Treatment, RF Facial Treatment, Laser Facial Treatment, Cavitation, Tripolar, Acne Facial Treatment, Skin Photo Rejuvenation Treatment; White Glow Underarm Treatment, Body Micropeel, Liposuction, and Nose Lift.

Her skin care products are Pimple and Acne Solution, Whitening and Skin Protection, Toning, Miracle Whitening Cream and Pigmentation Removing Cream.

Asked about the most popular service in her aesthetic center, Ellen said: "Lahat sila! To be honest, most of my customers are already 'thunders' (Filipino slang for seniors). But I won't mind. I would like the millennials to know that. But of course, we both cater to young and old."

These days, Ellen's is being endorsed by popular Kapuso stars Glaiza de Castro and Jak Roberto, of the hit afternoon teleserye "Contessa," and award-winning actor Allen Dizon.

Prior to these stars, Ellen has been endorsed by former Miss International Melanie Marquez and Miss World 1973 first runner-up Evangeline Pascual.

Asked who among the celebrities she would like to offer her services, Ellen politely declined to answer and said that she would not like to be put on the spot. "I might be misquoted. Mahirap na. It might also send a wrong impression to the celebrities."

From Ellen's first branch on Rizal Avenue in Avenida, Manila, the aesthetic center has already grown into 13 branches - Timog in Quezon City; West Avenue, QC; Acropolis in Libis, QC; Tutuban Center, Manila; BF Sucat, Paranaque; Sta Lucia Mall, Rizal; Samson Road, Caloocan City; Northeast Greenhills, San Juan; San Fernando, Pampanga; San Roque, Tarlac; Balibago, Angeles City; and Sta. Cruz, Cebu City.

Ellen revealed that some people have offered to franchise her aesthetic center. Again, she politely turned down their offers. "Mahirap na baka gamitin pa nila sa kalokohan. Masira pa ang pangalan ng Ellen's Aesthetic Center."

In 2019, Ellen's Aesthetic Center will be 40 years old. And she couldn't be more excited. "Magpapa-event talaga ako kasi 40 na ang Ellen's next year. Life begins at 40!"
