FOX+ lets you explore movies you never thought you’d watch

'War for the Planet of the Apes'

“Stepping out of your comfort zone” may sound like a tired cliché from a fortune cookie, or from people who just had to give you an advice, but cynicism aside, everyone should do it. Try something that you’ve never tried before and you’ll be better for it.

Don’t worry, you can start small. Order something different at your favorite restaurant. Wear that outfit your stylish friend picked out for you. Read a book you wouldn’t normally read. Or, watch a movie you don’t think you’d like.

   'The Big Sick'

Yeah, watch a movie. You don’t even have to go to the movie theaters and buy a ticket. Go on FOX+ and just pick a movie you haven’t seen yet, or let your friend pick a movie for you. Pick one that’s not from Hollywood and promise yourself not to give up on it. It’s available anyway, why not watch it? And what’s the worst thing that could happen? You don’t like the movie, but now you know what you’re saying no to.

Try one of the foreign language movies. Don’t let the language trip you up, that’s what subtitles are for. And subtitles are great, they make you really pay attention to just one screen instead of going on Facebook while the movie’s on. If you’ve never tried watching a Korean movie, start with a genre you like (baby steps). Asian movies have interesting storytelling techniques that are different from Hollywood’s and they are far from predictable.

    'Alien Covenant'

If you’re not ready for a foreign language, take a quick left turn away from Hollywood blockbusters and go for the smaller movies starring actors you don’t know.

The world is big, and adventure can start with making an unexpected choice from a wide array of movie genres from FOX+. You can download the FOX+ app to your devices, and the movies will follow you wherever you go.
