Megan Young, ayaw munang makatrabaho ang kapatid sa showbiz

Kung ang beauty queen-aktres na si Megan Young ang masusunod, ayaw na niyang makatrabaho pa ang kanyang nakababatang kapatid na si Lauren Young sa mga showbiz projects dahil naaawa raw siya rito.

"Kahit na acting, minsan kasi nadadala sa bahay. There are intense emotions. E magkasama pa naman kami sa house," ayon kay Megan, sa isang interview matapos siyang ipakilala bilang  endorser ng Cosmo Skin health and beauty products na ginanap sa Marriott Hotel sa Pasay City noong June 7.

Nagkasama na si Megan at Lauren sa popular na teleseryeng "Marimar" noong 2015 kung saan gumanap si Lauren bilang kotrabidang si Antonia at si Megan naman bilang Marimar. Ngayon, si Megan ay mapapanood sa "The Stepdaughters" pagkatapos ng "Contessa" kung saan naman kasama ang kanyang kapatid.


"Okay na 'yun na minsan na rin kami nagkasama sa work. Let's see maybe in the next couple of years if we have the chance. As of now, okay na ako na I'm in another show and she is in another. But it's fun acting with Lauren. S'yempre 'yun nga lang, 'yung mga away-kapatid hindi maiiwasan," ayon kay Megan.

Nang tanungin kung ano ang the most-challenging part sa pag-gawa ng kanyang teleserye, sagot ni Megan: "I think the hours that we work. I just came from taping kanina. So sabi ko nga kay sir Nino (Bautista) may moments na nag-i-space out ako kasi puyat talaga and all the energy you put into the show - emotionally, physically, mentally, putting all these energy. So medyo sa next tape, medyo lutang ka," sabi ng kauna-unahang Miss World title holder ng Pilipinas.


"I think it's really making sure that you really put everything up there. And that for me is the most challenging part - getting towards the next step. How can I overcome this fatigue that I have? Now that we are in the 12th week of the show, medyo intense na 'yung mga nangyayari. Emotionally draining talaga sya," ani Megan.

Ipinakilala nila Nino Bautista, co-founder ng Bargn Farmaceutici (Philippines) Company (BFC Laboratories), at John Redentor, partner ng BFC Lab, si Megan sa press bilang Cosmo Skin Woman.


Nang kapanayamin ng media kung bakit si Megan ang pinili nilang endorser, sabi ni Bautista: "Megan Young is such an inspiration, and embodies the Cosmo Skin woman. She exudes confidence and is beautiful inside and out."

Dagdag ni Redentor: "She inspires women and shows how even as you pursue your passions, you can succeed looking great and feeling great."


Sinabi rin ni Megan, 28, na wala silang alitan ng kanyang co-star na si Katrina Halili sa naturang teleserye kahit salunggat ang kanilang mga character.

"Okay kami ni Katrina. What I love her is naturuan niya ako para mandaya ng sampalan na scenes, hahablutin ang buhok. I can even go to somebody right now and go like that pero hindi siya masasaktan kasi may tricks. Tricks of the trade and it's really fun working with her," sabi ni Megan.


Ayon pa sa aktres: "Yung mga dayang sampal, akala sila sobrang nasasaktan na kami. Hindi lang nila alam na hindi naman tumatama ang mga kamay namin sa mukha."

"So 'yung mga dayang ganun, 'yun ang mga nakakatawang nakuha kong tricks. But other than that, she is the sweetest celebrity that I've worked with. Walang sugar coating 'yun just because we are working together. She's one of the kindest person that I've worked with," ayon kay Megan. - ROBERT REQUINTINA
