Jumel Bornilla, President of the Mr. Universe Tourism Organization, says that the online screening for the male contest is now open. Just log on to www.mruniversetourism.org/screening for details.

Bornilla also says that the grand finals for the male pageant will be held sometime in October this year.

The winner will represent the Philippines in the 3rd edition of the Mister Universe Tourism 2019 contest.


Ion Perez of the Philippines is the reigning Mr. Universe Tourism.

If the new winner will win the international competition sometime next year, then he is also expected to receive a prize package that's fit for a king!

Pageant fans say that the prize package being enjoyed by Perez these days is nearly similar to that of a Miss Universe title holder.

The Mister Universe Tourism contest is only one of two international male pageants in the world that gives fabulous perks to the winner during his reign.

The international winner will receive a year-long salary, one-year stay in a luxury apartment, a car service with driver, an assistant, and a bodyguard, gym membership, study in a personality development school, and other freebies. -

The MUT also says in an official statement that the Prime Event Productions Philippines (PEPPs) Inc. will no longer conduct and award the Mr. Universe Tourism Philippines crown. - ROBERT REQUINTINA
