What's up 'Misters' Ion Perez?

Former Mister Universe Tourism 2018 Ion Perez says he is done with pageants as he focuses on other things in life.

"Hindi na po ako sasali sa ibang pageants," says Perez, in an exclusive interview for Pop News Philippines. (I will not join other male pageants anymore).

The hunk from Tarlac made the reaction following rumors that he will join another male contest when he resigned as Mister Universe Tourism.

Perez, who is set to crown his successor at the Misters of Filipinas contest on Oct. 3, says that he has moved on from male pageants.

"May offer sa akin at iga-grab ko na ang opportunity na ito," Perez says. He refused to give details. (I have an offer and I will grab this opportunity).

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, Perez surprised his fans when when he debuted in the Miss Q&A portion of the popular daily noontime program "It's Showtime" on ABS CBN. Perez acts as escort for the contestants of the pageant-inspired portion of the show.

Perez rose to fame when he became one of the title holders for Misters of Filipinas 2017 contest. He represented the Philippines at the inaugural Mister Universe Tourism 2018 contest and won. But something happened along the way when he resigned for still unknown reasons and was eventually dethroned by the organizers.
