Australian painter Annette Chambers is currently holding an art exhibit in Makati City that will benefit the Philippine National School for The Blind.

On-going at The City Club Alphaland Makati Place 4F Atrium from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., the art exhibit was made possible by the Mafae Management Consultancy in association with James Mackay Foundation and Road Packer.

Born in the 60s, Annette traveled during her teens extensively around the world, enjoying different cultures and admiring artist different techniques and colors from Italy to Israel. This is where Annette fell in love with canvas paintings, from landscapes to portraits to abstracts.

Finally deciding to study art at school and develop her love of modern abstracts. Over the years, she studied abstract painting with palette knives and layering of colors for amazing effects. When her children grew up and her husband lost his eyesight, Annette managed her stresses with colorful abstracts which became her signature.

She now sells her paintings from Melbourne, Australia to America, Philippines and Singapore among her many customers.

"My theme has always been surrounding the bay by the beach. I am inspired by different weather patterns. There's always action that inspires my colors and my imaginations," says Annette at the opening of her art exhibit.

Asked about her ultimate dream, Annette says: "My dream is to present my artwork in America."
