'Warriors of Nature' fashion event to benefit local tribes

The warriors of environment takes center stage as they join The Warriors of Nature Gala Night Fashion Show which will be held at ICON Hotel Timog in Quezon City on Saturday, Nov. 10.

"For many years now, The Warriors of Nature has become a personal endeavor and commitment to serve and save the environment and the tribes of Norzagaray. Passionate about this cause, the journey continues. But we cannot do this alone. We need advocates like you to help make all these possible. Let's give the future a chance for the next generations to enjoy," says Jay Daniel Verano during media launch of the event at Gloria Maris Restaurant, Gateway Center, Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City recently.

Verano says that this year's fashion event in cooperation with Lions Club International will benefit the Dumagats of Norzagaray who have become caretakers of nature and would need a proper water system to sustain them.

The event raised some P300,000 cash in 2017. This year, the gala show hopes to raise P400,000, says Verano, former candidate to the Mr. Golden Universe 2016 in Brazil; and Mr. Imperial Universe Philippines 2016.

Aside from Bulacan, the other beneficiary is the local tribe of Tuguegarao. Last year, the theme of the successful show was nature in which the body of the models were painted as they walked the ramp.

"There is no greater gratification than being of great service to others. By purchasing a ticket/s, your act of generosity will go a long way," he says.

Verano says the pageant scene is behind him now as he focuses on his studies at the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila where he is taking up chemistry. He is a personality who wears many hats: chemist, fitness instructor, businessman, model, and photographer.
