Former Miss Universe and UNAIDS Asia-Pacific goodwill ambassador Pia Wurtzbach has called on the public to help end discrimination as the world observed Zero Discrimination Day last March 1. Housing for 2,000 Isla Puting Bato families

Re-electionist Senator Cynthia A. Villar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will provide housing for 2,000 families residing at Isla Puting Bato in Parola, Tondo, Manila. Together with Villar are members of the House of Representatives led by House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and representatives from Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), National Housing Authority (NHA) and Philippine National Railways (PNR). The senator, known as “Mrs. Hanepbuhay,” has committed to continue her advocacy in giving livelihood  programs and jobs to poor Filipinos.

'Captain Marvel' to raise funds for feeding, scholarship programs

 A non-government organization (NGO) will raise some P100,000 to cover the feeding and scholarship program expenses in Negros and Metro Manila communities. Ahmed Davis, Head of the James MacKay Foundation Inc. (JMFI), said that the Foundation would like to raise P100,000.00 and more to cover the feeding and scholarship programs expenses for first quarter of 2019. "We are currently feeding over 50 children around the metro and seeking for more scholar to add to our growing list of James Mackay Foundation Inc. honors. We have been doing our feeding programs in the province in particularly Negros and 2019 started with Metro Manila communities," Davis said. If she would have the chance to return to the Senate, Senator Cynthia A. Villar vows to continue helping poor Filipino get out of poverty. Villar was among the senatorial candidates endorsed by President Rodrigo Duterte during the PDP-Laban campaign rally at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna. 28 men, women compete in annual Mr. and Ms. Biñan pageant

The 28 official candidates of Mr. and Ms. Biñan - 14 men and 14 women - were formally presented to the press at the Southwoods Mall Biñan City recently. During press presentation, Mayor Arman Dimaguila gave his earnest welcome address. After which, the candidates showcased their adorable aura on stage.
