Gwapulis, celebrity dentist grace Christmas bazaar opening

Gwapulis Police Corporal Willy Quinto and celebrity dentist Dr.  Mario Guiang Jr.  graced the opening of a Christmas bazaar  at Ynares Center in Antipolo, Rizal recently. The project is a joint venture of the municipality of Teresa Tourism Office through the efforts of Rizal Government under Gov. Rebecca "Nini" Ynares. Guiang, who was voted Hunkiest Doctor of 2018 as surveyed by Pop News Philippines news blog, has expressed support to the young entrepreneurs of Rizal. Gwapulis Willy Quinto hurt in Makati accident

Gwapulis Corporal Willy Quinto was hospitalized after he suffered an accident on Edsa in Makati City on Sunday, Sept. 29. Quinto, of the Valenzuela City police, said he was riding a big bike when he figured in an accident. He posted a photo taken at the Makati Medical Center. The hunk policeman thanked his well-wishers on Facebook. But he said he was depressed about what happened. Quinto has been preparing to represent the Philippines at the inaugural Mister Working Men International 2019 competition in Bangkok, Thailand in October. Are reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray and Dela Salle University basketball star Jordan Bartlett an item? This after a photo of Gray and Bartlett getting comfy on the sofa surfaced at PBA-Meme Facebook account Saturday, Sept. 28, around 8 p.m. The photo has already garnered 2,500 likes some 45 minutes after it was posted. The PBA-Meme Facebook has 654,000 followers.  No information as to who leaked the photo or when the shot was taken. Earlier this year, Gray and actor-model Clint Bondad confirmed that they have separated after six years of being in a relationship.

Int'l beauty pageant rejects 'Mutya' winner

Mutya Pilipinas Tourism International 2019 Tyra Rae Goldman of Nevada will no longer represent the Philippines in the Miss Tourism International 2019 pageant after she was rejected by foreign organizers for having dual citizenship. This was confirmed by Mutya President Cory Quirino in a telephone conversation on Sept. 27. "They want a natural-born Filipina. The organizers of Miss Tourism International pageant have already apologized to us for the late notice," said Quirino. Mutya Pilipinas first runner-up Cyrille Payumo of Pampanga will replace Goldman in the Malaysia-based pageant in November. Tickets for Maymay Entrata’s and Edward Barber’s first concert together, “ME and U”, sold out a day before the September 27 show at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City. Based on twitter posts announcement of an official sold-out concert was made by the love team’s official management as hundreds of MayWard’s fans from abroad and from the provinces started their journey to see the two perform new production numbers. Other fans, who will be unable to attend, have stormed all the social media platforms asking for live streaming of the concert on Friday. The two will be joined by Yeng Constantino, Alex Gonzaga and Justin Vasquez for a night of music, dancing and wholesome fun and “kilig”. Villar assures help to coconut farmers

At the 55th International Coconut Community Session and Ministerial Meeting at the Phiippine International Convention Center in Pasay City, Senator Cynthia Villar vowed to continue passing bills to help the coconut farmers.  As chairperson of the Senate agriculture and food committee, Villar said she has been leading efforts in the legislature to come up with relevant and responsive legislations.  Right now, they are just fine-tuning the Coconut Industry Development Act that will create the P100- billion coconut levy trust fund for the benefit of the country’s 3.5 million coconut farmers.

What many people do not know is that this 22-year-old registered nurse comes from a family of doctors. His mother is a pediatrician who graduated from the University of the Philippines while his father is an anesthesiologist who finished school at the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila. His siblings are also taking up courses related to medicine. Levin graduated from nursing at UST in 2017. Later, this hunk passed the Natonal Medical Entrance Test and is ready for medical school soon. But pageantry got in the way. New Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 named

A beauty queen from Baguio City has assumed the Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 title after the original winner was stripped of the title allegedly for violating the terms and conditions of the pageant. Roi Neve Comanda, who represented the Panagbenga festival, won 2nd runner-up during the Aliwan Fiesta celebrations last April, as announced by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC). "I am so happy because the last time Baguio City won was in 2006. This is a wonderful gift to our city," Comanda said. She was crowned by Reyna ng Aliwan 2018 Chelsea Fernandez. Comanda, 20, is a student at the University of the Cordilleras taking up accountancy and business administration. As Reyna ng Aliwan, she will tour the country and grace festivals. This is the first time that a Reyna ng Aliwan winner was stripped of the title in the 17-year history of the pageant. Manila residents woke up to loud music over the weekend as the candidates of Miss Philippines 2019 pageant hosted an outreach program inm Barangay 686, Zone 5, District 5. Simply dressed in jeans and black t-shirt, the girls were welcomed by chairman Eduardo J. Joson. During a visit to Manila, the girls cleaned the side streets, feed the poor, and gave toys to kids. Later, the girls will fly to Palawan for the swimsuit competition. The grand finals of Miss Philippines 2019 pageant will be held at Resorts World Manila on Oct. 13. Villar: Sustainable pig farming should be promoted

Given the many benefits it brought to hog-raisers, Sustainable Pig Farming (SPF) should be promoted among backyard and commercial raisers. “Since we started teaching farmers the SPF, many already benefited from low feed cost, good quality meat and a more environment-friendly know-how of raising pigs,” Sen. Cynthia Villar said. The chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture and Food also noted that backyard hog-raising or pig farming is one of the alternative sources of additional income of many farmers because it requires only a small capital.
