Delectable Spanish food, books go together at Cerveseria Restaurant

Delicious Spanish cuisines and books do mix together at Cerveseria Restaurant at Greenbelt 3 in Makati City.

Cerveseria is a cozy resto that serves some of the most delectable Spanish food such as Gambas al Ajillo, Paella Vegetarian, Paella Negra, Paella Cerveseria, Pasta con Chorizo y Almejas, Crioquetas de Bacalao, Tapas, Pollo Iberico, Conchinillio, and more!

Rolly Requio, assistant manager of Cerveseria Restaurant, admits that it takes time to prepare these Spanish dishes.

"We are not a fast-food restaurant. All our meals here are freshly cooked. Medyo matagal ang preparation but it's worth the wait," said Requio.

Yet customers at the resto do not mind playing the waiting game. Most of the time, it is full house at dinner time where food lovers can also enjoy some 45-50 varities of wine and other drinks.

Cerveseria has also become a favorite spot for viewing parties among sports fanatics.

In July, Cerveseria hosted a viewing party for the boxing match between Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman.

In June 2018, this casual dining restaurant held its first viewing party for the live streaming of FIFA World Cup.

But what makes Cerveseria memorable is the towering book shelves that accomodate 1,786 imported books displayed in one section of the restaurant.

"Our books have different topics. The owners thought of having books around while eating their favorite Spanish dish. Puwede nila ito hiramin," said Requio.

Did you know that they conduct an inventory of these books? All of these books are still in mint condition, with some of them published in 1940s. "We also have CCTV to protect these books."

Owners are looking at having another branch soon. But it looks like the second branch will open in California, USA.

At Cerveseria, there's "food, drink, and joy for everything."
