Filipinos in Japan stage 'Noah's Ark Fashion Show' on Sept. 13



A fashion show organized by Filipinos which aims to give livelihood and help the sick will be held at the Sky Hall of Haneda International Airport in Tokyo, Japan on Friday, Sept. 13.

Dubbed "Noah's Ark Fashion Show," the event is organized by 1 PASSION 4 FASHION (1D4F) Group which will gather designers, sewers (dressmakers), models and talented people to help others turn their dreams into reality.


1P4F was founded by designer Mae Pontanares. She was a cancer survivor who made her mission to do fashion shows to help the needy.



Last year, the same show then entitled "Garden of Eden" produced by the organization was held at the Tokyo Tower.



The "Noah's Ark Fashion Show" is chaired by Joan Nakagawa. Joining her in the projrect are Secretary Zenny Guillen, administrative head Elle Susan Takeuchi, over-all director Naomi Nakashita, director/trainer Kristine Diane Nagasaka, and asst. trainer Lolet Belason.

The show is being staged in collaboration with United Filipinos For Peace and Advancement (UFPAJ). - ROBERT REQUINTINA
