Gazini Ganados poses for elderly portrait artists



Reigning Miss Universe Philippines posed for members of the elderly community doing portraits in which proceeds will benefit a charity of choice of the beauty queen.

At the Gateway Gallery in Quezon City Friday night, Sept. 6, Gazini who wore a Cary Santiago gown struck a pose for 15 elderly painters for four hours.

These portraits will be sold afterwards and part of the proceeds will be donated to a charity of Gazini's choice.

The portrait session was part of the Grandparents Day celebration at the Araneta Center in Quezon City on Sept. 8.

There will be different activities across the Center.

The first is the Grand Chess Championship at Gateway starting at 10 a.m. A total of 150 members of the elderly community will be battling it out the entire day, where the winner will be given the opportunity to match-up with International Chess Master Chito Garma.

At 3 p.m., in Ali Mall, the Center wilk be holding a Grand Ballroom Party in partnership with A. Dance Company. 

The Grand Symphonic Band will also play at Farmers Plaza at 3 p.m. (Robert R. Requintina)
