Daring Zaijian Jaranilla-Jane Oineza series ‘Si Sol at si Luna’ begins streaming on Puregold Channel

A tale of longing, grief, and the enduring capacity to love amid life's complexities—this is Puregold Channel’s ‘Si Sol at si Luna’, a provocative new digital series starring Zaijian Jaranilla and Jane Oineza. 


Launched last May 31, the show promises a beautifully crafted narrative brought to life by stunning visuals unlike anything seen before in digital entertainment.

The series’ pilot episode, “Babae sa Bus,” which is set to premiere on the Puregold
Channel on YouTube, follow Sol, Jaranilla’s character as he works on a film about
love. Here, Sol grapples with a challenge posed by his professor: to create a
documentary on something he has yet to experience.

This seemingly daunting task leads Sol straight into the silent torment of Luna,
portrayed by Oineza, and into what two lost souls find in each other.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Dolly Dulu, ‘Si Sol at si Luna’ features powerful
performances from Jaranilla and Oineza that demonstrate their respective range and talent as actors.

Known for stories that are not only viral hits but also poignantly told, Puregold Channel delivers a show this time that takes cinematic images and intimate storytelling into the digital realm.

Joining Jaranilla and Oineza in the series is a strong ensemble cast that includes Joao Constancia, Karina Bautista, Cheena Crab, Marnie Lapus, Uzziel Delamide, Lyle Viray, Vaughn Piczon, Jem Manicad, and Atasha Franco.

New mobile app to revive original Filipino comics

A new mobile application has been developed that will allow users to access a growing library of original Filipino comic book content. Dubbed iKwento, the mobile app offers several wonderful features, including easy-to-read comic book panels specially designed for mobile readers. It will also give independent and mainstream Filipino comic book creators a way to bring their content to a wider audience by partnering with iKwento, created by Synergy 88 Digital. "We hope the app will revive the comic book industry, specially with the current generation.
