Thais rule in first Global Asian Model 2019 World Finals

Two Thai models - male and female - won the inaugural Global Asian Model 2019 World Finals during a competition held at The Cove Theater in Okada Manila, Paranaque City recently. The winners were: Falco Sornnarin, Male Global Asian Model 2019; and Artittaya Promchart, Female Global Asian Model 2019. They are both from Thailand. Each of them will receive US$10,000 (P500,000) cash and US10,000 (P500,000) of worth of management contract. Philippine representatives Ella Lubag was named 1st runner-up; while Vince Marcelo, 3rd runner-up. Other winners were: Alexander Tomohiro, Japan, male category, 1st runner-up; Luke Pereira, male category, Singapore; and Runa Matsui, female category, Japan, both 2nd runner-up; Anyssa Mendez, female, USA, 3rd runner-up; and Tran Quang Thang, male, Vietnam; and My Duyen, female, also of Vietnam, both 4th runner-up. Jessica is an 18-year-old girl who studies at Montessori Integrated School in Antipolo City. She loves to write poems and play the piano. Villar backs drive vs open defecation

Sen. Cynthia Villar has underscored the need to stop open defecation in the country. Villar, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, said she embarked on a toilet bowl distribution project in Baseco in Tondo, Manila because of the health hazards open defecation poses to the residents and the risks of further polluting Manila Bay. The program coincided with the celebration of World Toilet Day. The World Toilet Day celebration was spearheaded by the Department of Health, the Manila Health Department, and the United Nations Children’s Fund with the theme “Toilets for All: Leaving No One Behind.”

Who will win the 1st Global Asian Model World Finals 2019?

Thirty-eight male and female models with Asian heritage will compete in the first Global Asian Model World Finals which will be held at the Cove at Okada Manila in Paranaque City on Nov. 21. "Thirty-eight models from different countries will compete for the ultimate male and female models who will win cash prizes and guaranteed modeling placements in Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, Los Angeles, New York," said Jonas Gaffud of Empire Studios, during a welcome party held at the Cove Beach Club over the weekend.
