A Book of Directory of Farm Schools, Tourist Farms and Learning Sites in the Philippines was handed down to President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. by Senator Cynthia Villar during the Signing of Executive Order for the Moratorium on the Annual Amortization of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries in Malacanang on Sept. 13, 2022. The directory is a part of Sen Villar’s effort to promote farm tourism and farm schools in the country. Villar stresses value of wetland park as bird sanctuary

  Sen. Cynthia Villar stressed anew the importance of wetlands in providing wildlife habitats, including as sanctuary of migratory birds. On the occasion of the World Migratory Bird Day, Villar said the Las Pinas-Paranaque Wetland Park (LPWP) located South of Manila Bay, has served as resting and feeding grounds for migratory birds coming from Japan, China, and Siberia. “Wetlands have a unique characteristic and serve a lot of functions that is why these areas are protected and preserved,” Villar said. Villar, chairperson of the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, authored Republic Act 11038 or the Expanded National Integrated Protected Areas Act or E-NIPAS Act, which lists the Las Pinas-Paranaque Wetland Park as a protected area.   Kapuso star Derek Ramsay was rushed to the emergency room after he looked straight into the ultraviolet (UV) light he was fixing. Ramsay said that they have a UV light which they use in disinfecting things. In an interview with “Mars Pa More” on GMA 7, Ramsay said that the UV light was flickering when he decided to fix it. Villar asks SUCs, DOH to build one medical school per region

Cynthia Villar pushed for the establishment of at least one medical school in each and every region in the country as a way to increase the number of doctors and improve the healthcare workforce. During the Senate deliberation on Senate Bill 1520 or the Medical Scholarship Bill, Villar said state universities and colleges (SUC) should be required to establish at least one medical school in all 17 regions of the country. “Dapat magtayo ang malalaking SUC ng isang medical school sa bawat region. Kapag tinayuan mo all 17 regions, makukuha mo na ang target na number of doctors at nasa buong Pilipinas pa sila. Hindi mangyayari na may region na walang duktor,” Villar said. About 79,800 doctors are needed in order to achieve the ideal ratio of 10 physicians for every 10,000 individuals.
