Bulakenyos declare support to Villar

Voters of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, led by Mayor Arthur Robes, aired their overwhelming support to re-electionist Sen. Cynthia A. Villar, also  known as “Misis Hanepbuhay.''  Villar was invited as a guest during the Zumba Marathon at Grotto Vista Resort in    Brgy. Graceville.  Mrs. Villar, chair of the Senate committees    on agriculture and food, and environment and natural resources, has been leading the senatorial race based on the latest Pulse Asia survey. This developed as  Bro. Mike Velarde, the leader of the country’s biggest charismatic movement, backs the Villar, touted by President Rodrigo Duterte as the “most industrious senator.”  In throwing his support to villar and the senatoriables, Velarde said he believes they could    help the poor and the downtrodden, by creating jobs, addressing poverty and illegal drugs, among others. Jewel of the World 2018 pageant launched in historic Malolos

The inaugural Jewel of the World beauty pageant, an international contest that celebrates cultural diversity, kicked off in the historic city of Malolos in Bulacan over the weekend. "Jewel of the World pageant is a celebration of the multi-cultural world we all live in through a super bowl of beauty that highlights the distinct and unique cultural and heritage of the participating countries. It is inspired by the May 21 declaration of the UN General Assembly as the World Day for Cultural Diversity," said John dela Vega, director of the pageant, during an interview. Twelve countries are competing for the first Jewel of the World contest. "Just do good!" These are the words of wisdom of Congresswoman Rida P. Robes (lone district of Bulacan) to men and women who want to join politics. "Sa politics if you don't have the heart, 'wag mo ng pasukin kasi sa akin as a wife and as a wife of public servant also, siguro nakita ko na lang 'yung leveraging sa lahat ng bagay. Just do good. If you want to be in public service, just do good. Laging huli ang sarili sa public service kung magagawa mo ang kabutihan from your heart and from your soul. Maraming nagsasabi hindi nagagawa yun because of fame and power," said Robes during an interview in Greenhills in San Juan Metro Manila recently.
