Does size matter in underwear shoots? Gianluca Lanta shares honest opinion

Filipino-Italian model Gianluca Lanta who was hailed as Mister Model Worldwide 2019 Ambassador in India last December has been tapped as one of the models for Men's Club by Avon for 2020. This means that you will be seeing more of this hunk in his underwear in the pages of Avon brochure which will be available in March. "I just had a contract with Avon for the brochure. So you will see me in the latest brochure of Avon," said Lanta during an exclusive interview in Makati City recently. Asked how he prepared for the shoot, Lanta said: "I am used to wearing underwear in photo shoots because of the pageants." "As a gym addict, I take a picture of myself without a shirt but never without my pants," he said. Lanta advised young men who want to pose in underwear to be prepared physically and mentally. Carlo Pasion wins Mister Model Worldwide in India

A 22-year-old fitness trainer from Laoag, Ilocos Norte who was about to give up his stint in pageants won Mister Model Worldwide 2018 during a contest held in India recently. Carlo Pasion waited for one year and three months before he could compete in an international pageant. Normally, a Filipino contestant would compete within the year the delegate won in the local search. The pageant in India focuses on modelling and physique. Other winners for Mister Model Worldwide 2018 were: Thailand, 1st runner-up; India, 2nd runner-up; Bolivia, 3rd runner-up; and Nigeria, 4th runner-up. Pasion won the Misters of Filipinas contest in September 2017, earning him the right to compete abroad. He was supposed to join the Mister Ocean 2018 contest in China in August but it was cancelled. Nadine Bornilla shines in Miss Teen Int'l 2018 pageant

Miss Philippines Simone Nadine Bornilla may not have won the crown at Miss Teen International 2018 but she made her country proud when she won two special awards during the finals held in India recently. Bornilla, 15, an aspiring surgeon, won Miss Teen International Asia and Oceania and Best In National Costume. Miss Mexico was named Miss Teen International 2018. The runners-up were Miss India, 1st runner-up; and Miss Venezuela, 2nd runner-up. Bornilla, who is the reigning Miss Philippine Youth, thanked her supporters in her journey to the international pageant. "PHILIPPINES! I was so happy to be wearing your sash tonight. I know we didn’t get this far as we wanted to be, but I do hope that I made you all proud," says the teen queen. Nadine Bornilla is PH bet to Miss Teen Int'l 2018 pageant

Fifteen-year-old Simone Nadine Bornilla will be the country's representative to the Miss Teen International contest which will be held in New Delhi, India on Dec. 19. Bornilla is a Grade 10 student of Colegio San Agustin in Makati City. Last Jan. 5, she represented Makati City in the Mr. and Ms. Philippines Youth contest. Nadine, as fondly called by her peers, loves to sing. In fact, she is a Senior Soprano 1 member of the prestigious Augustinian Singers of Colegio San Agustin-Makati. Her talent in singing blossomed following her summer training workshops at Spotlight Artist Centre under the supervision of Isay Alvarez. She also attended ballet classes when she was 8 at Ballet Manila under the supervision of Lisa Macuja. Indian hospital gives pediatric liver transplants to Filipinos

The Apollo Hospitals Group in New Delhi, India has undertaken 21 pediatric liver transplants cases from the Philippines, it was reported during a press conference held in Makati City recently. "Our transplantation success rates are some of the best in the world, which is truly a credit to the excellent team at Apollo Hospitals that adheres to the highest standards of clinical care," says Dr. Anupam Sibal, group medical director, Apollo Hospitals Group and senior paediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist. Manushi Chhillar of India was crowned Miss World 2017 during a glittery pageant held in Sanya, China on Saturday, November 18. Miss England Stephanie Hill was 1st runner-up while Miss Mexico Andrea Meza 2nd runner-up. Other candidates in the Top 5 were delegates from Kenya and France. Manushi, 20, is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery. She has ambitions to be a cardiac surgeon and would like to open a chain of non-profitable hospitals based in rural areas. She has a passion for outdoor sports and actively participates in paragliding, bungee jumping, snorkeling and scuba diving. She is a trained Indian classical dancer and enjoys sketching and painting.
