Over 100 gorgeous men to join 'biggest Mr. World in history'

More than 100 candidates from around the world will converge in the Philippines when it hosts for the first time the Mr. World pageant on January 27, 2019. Initially, Julia Morley, founder of Miss World Organization (MWO), announced on Facebook that the prestigious male competition will be staged in Manila on Sept. 16. But after discussions with the national directors of the contest, it has been moved to January 2019. It will be staged at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City. MR. Manila to stage Mr World pageant 2018 in September

For the first time in 22 years, the Mister World pageant will be held in the Philippines in September. This was announced by Arnold Vegafria, of the ALV Events International, during a press conference for the send-off of Cynthia Thomnalla who will represent the country in the Miss Eco International pageant to be held in Egypt. "More than 120 male contestants from around the world will converge in the Philippines for this prestigious male pageant," said Vegafria, also business manager of Senator Manny Pacquiao. No exact date has been set for the finals of the international male pageant, owned by the Miss World Organization under its chairwoman Julia Morley. Vegafria, franchisee for the Miss World Philippines pageant, said that he has been discussing with Morley for the staging of the Mister World pageant in the Philippines since 2016. Sportscaster crowned Miss World Philippines 2017

A former courtside reporter for the Ateneo Blue Eagles at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines was crowned Miss World Philippines 2017 during a glitzy televised pageant held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City last September 3. Crowd favorite Laura Lehmann beat out 34 other girls for the prestigious title, whose contest is now under the helm of talent manager Arnold Vegafria. She was crowned by outgoing Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray and reigning Miss World Stephanie del Valle of Puerto Rico. Lehmann will represent the Philippines at the Miss World 2017 beauty pageant in China on November 18. Now on its 66th year, the Miss World contest is the longest-running beauty pageant in history. Another crowd favorite Kapuso star Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez, daughter of actress Alma Moreno and comedian Joey Marquez, bagged the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas title.
