Mrs. Tourism 2018 winners crowned in Dapitan City

National pageant director Ovette Ricalde, also known as Mother of All Pageants, announced the new tourism queens after they won the Mrs. Tourism 2018 beauty contest held at Dapitan City Cultural and Sports Complex in this city last Oct. 30. The new tourism queens are: Mrs. Tourism Universe 2018 Melany Andrea Ramirez  (New Zealand),  Mrs. Tourism World 2018 Lisa Smart-Campos (South Africa),  Mrs. Tourism International 2018 Yosiko Ojara Martha (Bolivia), Mrs. Tourism Globe 2018 Shivangi Dewang (India); and Mrs. Tourism Earth 2018 Nareesha Hitesh Dharwai (Singapore). Dr. Risa Caldoza-De Leon, owner of Vanity Skin Aesthetics Dermatology Clinic, is set to crown her successor at the Mrs. Tourism International 2018 beauty pageant in Dapitan City on Oct. 20. But she confirms that it is not the end of her stint in pageants. “After I turnover my crown, siguro quiet life first. And then bonding with my kids kasi the past two years have been very hectic. In 2020, I have to talk to Ovette (Ricalde) again. I might (join). For the last time na lang,” says the inspiring doctor-beauty queen. Risa, 47, has also been encouraged by her friends to join politics because of her charisma and kind-heart. But she says she's not born to rule the crazy world of politics. "I love politics but I don't want to be a politician. I’d rather help people and I don’t have to be in a position to do that. I still do medical missions in Pasay City and other programs," she says. Reika Ootaka of Japan chooses to be crowned in Philippines

Reika Ootaka could have been crowned as Mrs. Tourism Ambassador 2018 in her native country. But she decided to hold her crowning ceremony in the Philippines where she describes the people as "warm and friendly." During a simple rite held at the Luxent Hotel in Timog, Quezon City last February 11, Reika also launched the 1st annual Mrs. Japan Tourism 2018 contest in which the four winners of the contest will represent Japan in competitions abroad. These pageants are Mrs. Tourism 2018 which will be staged in the City of Dapitan in the Philippines sometime in October; Mrs. International in Singapore in November; Mrs. Global United Pageant in Minnesota, USA, in July; and Mrs. Transcontinental 2018 in Houston, Texas, also in July.
