PHL smashes world record for largest zumba class

The Philippines now holds the record for the largest zumba class after some 100 zumba instructors in the country led by Ron Antonio kept a crowd of 13,350 fitness enthusiasts dancing for 30 minutes. The record was achieved in Camarines Sur through the efforts of Governor Migz Villafuerte last May 19, 2018. The challenge was not only for Ron to keep the crowd dancing for 30 minutes and in sync with the music and the choreography of the instructors but also to overcome the forces of natures and all factors that he cannot control. During the registration at the provincial capitol grounds, it rained so hard. But the crowd patiently waited for hours rain or shine. With prayers and God’s grace, a new Guinness World Record was achieved. Despite the stress and hardship, the event was successful. PHL set to break own world record on Zumba dance class

The Philippines will attempt to beat its own record on Zumba class when it stages the Biggest Zumba Class for the Guinness Book of World Records in Camarines Sur on May 19. Ron Antonio, considered as the most popular and most in-demand celebrity Zumba instructor in the Philippines, along with 100 of the best Zumba instructors nationwide, will lead the Biggest Zumba Class in the world in partnership with Governor Migz Villafuerte of Camarines Sur. Antonio said that the event will target some 20,000 participants. The local government of CamSur will be responsible for the recruitment and pre-registration of participants. Antonio will be responsible for the routines. Currently, the Philippines hold the record for the the Biggest Zumba Class at 12,900+ set in 2016. Unconfirmed reports that several countries are attempting to break the record of the Philippines in Zumba class.
