Korean superstar Hyun Bin may visit Manila for Smart Communications, Inc.

There's a possibility that Korean superstar Hyun Bin will visit the Philippines as part of his latest TVC for a telco company. But sources said that his Manila visit will all depend on the on-going travel restrictions here. "We're hoping that the government would ease the travel restrictions soon. Let's see if the situation  would finally allow him to visit Manila," sources at the Smart Communications, Inc. revealed. On May 28, Hyun, who plays Captain Ri in the blockbuster Netflix series "Crash Landing On You," has sent social media into a frenzy with a video clip of what appears to be his first television commercial for Smart. Smart gives 30-day payment extension period for customers

Smart Communications, Inc. has announced that it is putting in place a 30-day payment extension period for all their postpaid customers of Smart, Sun Postpaid, PLDT Home and PLDT Enterprise. Also, with the recent news on COVID-19, free calls to these emergency hotlines are available to Smart, Sun, and TNT subscribers.

New MUP, Smart help charity institutions for poor kids

The new Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) organization and Smart Communications, Inc. have donated more than P1.6 million to two charitable institutions that would help children with untreated clefts in developing countries, and help poor kids fund their education. MUP National Director Shamcey Supsup-Lee led the handing over of checks to Smile Train and Hope for Change organizations during the finals of Global Asian Model Philippines 2019 competition held at Okada Manila in Paranaque City last Dec. 13. The MUP, also in collaboration with Frontrow Philippines, donated US$16,500, roughly more than P800,000 each to the two charitable institutions. Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palate. “Millions of children in developing countries with untreated clefts live in isolation, but more importantly, have difficulty eating, breathing and speaking,” the group said.
