Annette Chambers art exhibit to benefit the disabled

Australian painter Annette Chambers is currently holding an art exhibit in Makati City that will benefit the Philippine National School for The Blind. On-going at The City Club Alphaland Makati Place 4F Atrium from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., the art exhibit was made possible by the Mafae Management Consultancy in association with James Mackay Foundation and Road Packer. Born in the 60s, Annette traveled during her teens extensively around the world, enjoying different cultures and admiring artist different techniques and colors from Italy to Israel. This is where Annette fell in love with canvas paintings, from landscapes to portraits to abstracts. Finally deciding to study art at school and develop her love of modern abstracts. Over the years, she studied abstract painting with palette knives and layering of colors for amazing effects. Bb. Pilipinas 2018 candidates enjoy 'Art In Island' 3D Museum

Strike a pose! And that's just what the 40 official candidates of the 2018 Bb. Pilipinas pageant did when they toured "Art In Island," a 3D interactive art museum located on 15th Avenue in Cubao, Quezon City. "Art In Island" is one of the biggest 3D art museums in Asia where you can freely interact with paintings of different concepts. The museum has 11 different zones where you can be creative and have fun with its interactive contents. The girls made fond memories of their visit by creatively participating with the 3D artworks through their own distinctive poses. Local creative industry gets backing from gov't

The Philippine government has expressed its full support to the local creative industry which involves art, animation, audio, and software engineering. This was revealed by Jackeline Chua, managing director and co-founder of Synergy88, a digital solutions company and art studio based in the Philippines. Chua said this after she joined the Philippine delegation at the External Development Summit held in Vancouver, Canada recently. "The Philippine booth was sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry. And the government officials were with us that time to experience what the conference was all about. Parang bago kasi ito sa kanila. I think they are very happy and they are sponsoring another booth next year," Chua said.
