Music lovers flocked to Las Piñas City to enjoy the symphony of voices from all over the country in the 4th Las Piñas Chorale competition sponsored by the Villar SIPAG (Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance). Amid the day’s melodies and tunes, Sen. Cynthia A. Villar expressed delight over the animated participation of choral groups nationwide in the annual competition, where seven groups showcased their talents in singing. ‘My heart is filled with pleasure over the successful turnout of this event. After six years, Filipino-British actor Derek Ramsay bid goodbye to TV5 as he thanked all those who made his stay on the Kapatid network a memorable one. “Thank you TV5 for 6 great years. Thank you for trusting and believing in me,” said Derek on his Instagram post. "For me, it should be the traveler who should be responsible for their trash. If they're traveling, they should know how to pick up their trash and throw it properly. Teresita 'Winwyn' Marquez renews contract with GMA 7

Reigning Reina Hispanoamericana Teresita Marquez is staying with GMA 7 network! This was revealed by Marquez during an interview at the send-off for Cynthia Thomalla, the country's representative to the Miss Eco International beauty contest in Egypt. "Kapuso pa rin!" said Marquez when asked if she would renew her contract with GMA 7 which expired last February 15. Arnold Vegafria, manager of Marquez, said: "She will sign a three-year contract for GMA 7. She will have a teleserye where she will be the lead star." Lambs in Manila, rejoice! Grammy-award winning singer Mariah Carey is coming to Manila again to stage a one-night only concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on Oct. 26. Mariah's concert is part of her Asian tour that will kick off in Auckland, New Zealand on Oct. 7. She will also stage concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Osaka, Tokyo and Magelang, Indonesia. Tickets to the Manila concert will be sold starting April 20, according to her website. This is not the first time that the Elusive Chanteuse will hold a show in Manila. Mariah first came to the Philippines in 2003 when she brought her Charmbracelet World Tour. Manila to stage Mr World pageant 2018 in September

For the first time in 22 years, the Mister World pageant will be held in the Philippines in September. This was announced by Arnold Vegafria, of the ALV Events International, during a press conference for the send-off of Cynthia Thomnalla who will represent the country in the Miss Eco International pageant to be held in Egypt. "More than 120 male contestants from around the world will converge in the Philippines for this prestigious male pageant," said Vegafria, also business manager of Senator Manny Pacquiao. No exact date has been set for the finals of the international male pageant, owned by the Miss World Organization under its chairwoman Julia Morley. Vegafria, franchisee for the Miss World Philippines pageant, said that he has been discussing with Morley for the staging of the Mister World pageant in the Philippines since 2016.
