A nationwide search for the most beautiful and intelligent women who will serve as ambassador for promoting environmental awareness, especially in the area of proper solid waste management, has been launched in Quezon City recently. Dubbed Miss Econest 2018 contest, the pageant is organized and promoted by Econest Waste Management Corporation, the private partner of the local government of Hermosa, Bataan, for the rehabilitation, operation and expansion of the Hermosa Sanitary Landfill Facility. "The pageant is not only to find beauty and brains among millions of Filipinas but someone with a big heart for environmental protection and humanity as a whole," says lawyer Coeli Fiel, president and CEO of Econest and over-all pageant chairperson, during the pageant's launch.
