16 desirable men vie for Mr World PHL 2018 pageant

Whatta men! The 16 official candidates for the Mr. World Philippines 2018 contest were finally presented to the media during a presentation held at the Resorts World Manila September 4. They are Joy Jerome Evangelita, Jody Baines Saliba, Karl Louie Aragon, Abdullah Sharif Cheng, Denver Hernandez, Wilfred Placencia Jr., Reymart Regis, Maro Poli, Robin Hanrath, Mark Jero Bagaporo, Miguel de Castro, Amir Don Abbo, Ricardo De Jesus, Joshua Reginald Batatin, Mark Cosimo and Ameen Sardouk. Familiar faces join Miss World Philippines 2018 beauty pageant

Familiar faces, including cross-over beauty queens, are competing in this year's Miss World Philippines pageant in a bid to represent the Philippines in various international contests. Leading the cross-over beauty queens is former Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez. She was first runner-up at the Miss Intercontinental 2017 beauty contest held in Egypt. Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Kim de Guzman is also vying for the title. 40 girls vie for Miss World Philippines 2018 beauty contest

Organizers of the Miss World Philippines beauty pageant announced on Wednesday, August 15, the 37 official candidates who will compete in the prestigious contest in September. But fashion designer Bessie Besana, general manager of Miss World Philippines Organization (MWPO), says three more candidates will complete the final 40 girls who will join the pageant. "Please wait for our official announcement," says Besana when asked about the three remaining candidates. He did not say when the official announcement will be made. Could the MWPO saving the best three girls for last? Prior to the announcement of the 37 candidates, there were speculations that popular beauty queens were joining the Miss World Philippines contest. This after Cochico's fans are encouraging him to join the Mister World Philippines 2018 contest, now under the management of Arnold L. Vegafria. "Actually iniisip ko pa po," says Cochico, who is assigned at the Polygraph Division at the Camp Crame headquarters in Quezon City. Manila to stage Mr World pageant 2018 in September

For the first time in 22 years, the Mister World pageant will be held in the Philippines in September. This was announced by Arnold Vegafria, of the ALV Events International, during a press conference for the send-off of Cynthia Thomnalla who will represent the country in the Miss Eco International pageant to be held in Egypt. "More than 120 male contestants from around the world will converge in the Philippines for this prestigious male pageant," said Vegafria, also business manager of Senator Manny Pacquiao. No exact date has been set for the finals of the international male pageant, owned by the Miss World Organization under its chairwoman Julia Morley. Vegafria, franchisee for the Miss World Philippines pageant, said that he has been discussing with Morley for the staging of the Mister World pageant in the Philippines since 2016. Arnold Vegafria, whose team produced the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn boxing fight in Australia recently, formally took the helm  as the new franchise holder of the Miss World Philippines beauty pageant. "I promise to present a bigger and better Miss World Philippines beauty pageant," said Vegafria during the official launch of the prestigious local beauty pageant at the New World Hotel in Makati City. Vegafria, who owns the ALV Events International, took over as franchise holder of the beauty pageant from television host and wellness guru Cory Quirino. A talent manager for 22 years now, Vegafria is in-charge of the careers of popular local personalities such as Kuh Ledesma, Iya Villania, Camille Prats, Billy Crawford, John Prats, Kris Lawrence, Enzo Pineda, Baron Geisler, among others.
