Nadine Bornilla takes the plunge into swimwear fashion

SimoneSwimwear is for the young and young at heart. This is how teen queen Simone Nadine Bornilla describes her fashionable line of swimwear which was launched recently. "Since my target is the young age group and the young at heart, playful colors should be observed. The vibe should be vigorous. It’s like when you see my creation, it’s seems like its targeting those people who are young and people aspiring to remain youthful," said Nadine, a former Miss Philippine Youth titlist. Nadine, a Grade 10 student of Colegio San Agustin in Makati City, expounds the design concepts for SimoneSwimwear. For cutouts, it is mainly a version of the killer one-pieces that are coming out for spring and summer 2019. The options are encompassing and it makes me more inventive. World's Best Model contest, 2nd edition, on Feb. 9

Thirty stunning and statuesque male and female models from all over the country will compete for the coveted title which intends to produce top image, print, fashion, runway and commercial models. Leading to the finals night, a series of activities were held, there were workshops on Basic and Advanced Modelling, Fashion/Ramp Code of Ethics, Photographic Modelling, Runway, Health and Wellness, & Grooming/Hair and Make-Up; swimwear competition in Punta Riviera, Bolinao, Pangasinan; and photo shoots at several locations. The grand finals will be held at The Eye, Green  Sun Hotel, Chino Roces Extension,  Makati City,  on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m., with a spectacular show under Robbie Carmona as Consulting Director, with Markie delos Santos and Concon Seniel as co-directors. Filipino school teacher wows in Peru pageant

A pageant veteran-turned-history teacher has arrived home after he was crowned Mr. Star Model Universe 2018 during a pageant held in Lima, Peru recently. Mark Andrew Baron, who was born in Surigao del Sur but raised in Navotas City, has been joining several pageants here and abroad before he finally clinched an international title. Baron also said that this would be his last stint in the pageant world. "This will be my final pageant. After this, I will focus on being a teacher," said Baron, during an exclusive interview at his victory press conference held at the Kagandahang Flores beauty camp in Quezon City recently. Baron came home with Joey Mancilla, national director of Mr. Star Model of the Philippines. He also thanked popular fashion designer Edwin Uy for his creating his national costume.
