Image
K-pop boy band BTS has submitted entries for the 2019 Grammy Awards which will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Feb. 10. Considered as the highest award in music, the nominations for the 2019 show will be announced on Dec. 5, 2018. BTS has reportedly submitted six entries for their best-selling album "Love Yourself: Tear" and for the song "Fake Love." Entries for “Fake Love” include Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop/Duo Group Performance and Best Music Video.  For “Love Yourself: Tear,” the entries are Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. It would be recalled that K-pop made history in the American music scene after "Love Yourself: Tear" went to No. 1 on the Billboard music charts for the week ending on June 2. This is the first time that a Korean album finished at the summit of the prestigious music charts since it published its first music hit parade in the US in 1936. Released through B...

The Elusive Chanteuse Mariah Carey is coming to Manila once again to perform her biggest hits at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on October 26. While the songs "Emotions," "Hero," "We Belong Together," "My All," and "Fantasy" are sure-fire tunes on her set lists, Mariah has apparently forgotten to perform some of her hits. Here are some songs which fans may want to hear from the Grammy-winning artist during her one-night only gig in Manila. Perhaps, you may want to remind Mariah of these tunes through social media.

Nasungkit naman ni Bruno Mars ang tatlong major awards - Album of the Year, Record of the Year at Song of the Year.

Despite the historic feat of the song "Despacito" which stayed at No. 1 on the US music charts for 16 straight weeks, the song "Shape of You" by British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has been tabulated as the biggest song of 2017, according to Billboard magazine, which ranks the popular songs in the US and elsewhere. Released on a digital download on January 6, "Shape of You'' continues to enjoy massive popularity as it stays on the US chart at No. 25 for 48 weeks now. In September, "Shape of You," which was written by Sheeran with pop superstar Rihanna in mind, became the most-streamed song on Spotify with more than 1.32 billion streams. At No. 2 was "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber which earlier tied this year with "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men for the longest-run at No. 1 for 16 weeks in the 59-year history of US charts.
