"When I was young I'd listen to the radio waitin' for my favorite songs. When they played I'd sing along it made me smile." I could just imagine Miss Earth 2018 Nguyen Phuong Khanh singing her favorite song "Yesterday Once More" by The Carpenters. "I sing but I am not a singer," said the Vietnamese beauty queen, during an interview at Coffee Project at Symphony Towers in Timog, Quezon City Nov. 13. Nguyen is in Manila once again to promote the new Miss Bikini Philippines 2019 beauty pageant which will hold its second and final screening at the Function Room of 515 Vista Shaw Residences on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 1 p.m. onwards. Newly crowned Miss Earth 2019 Nellys Pimentel has said that she is honored and thankful for her pageant success in Manila. On Instagram, Pimentel said: "Proudly rePResenting. Everything just clicks sometimes. No other words can describe all the emotions I’ve felt this last month that led up to such a life changing moment. I am honored and thankful to have become part of such a great family; "Becoming Miss Earth 2019 means much more than a crown. It means gaining a bigger voice to address environmental issues in a way that create change. It means becoming the first of my country to have won this pageant; "It means making Puerto Rico proud and the first country to own all crowns of the grand slam. Statement of Miss Earth on sexual harassment claims

Carousel Productions, which organizes the annual Miss Philippines Earth and Miss Earth beauty pageants, said on Thursday, November 8, that it will not tolerate any offensive or indecent acts or behavior to be committed towards or against any of its delegates and staff members. This after Lorraine Schuck, Executive Vice President, Carousel Productions, issued a statement following claims that candidates from Canada, England and Guam of the recent Miss Earth beauty contest in Manila were allegedly sexually harassed by one of the pageant’s sponsors. The Miss Earth 2018 beauty pageant is nearing homestretch as it almost wraps up its pre-pageant activities leading towards the grand coronation night on Nov. 3. While the preliminary judging for BEAUTY of FACE and POISE is finished, the 87 candidates will hurdle  two more important pre-pageant activities: FIGURE and FORM Preliminary Judging (Century Park Hotel) on Oct. 29; and INTELLIGENCE and ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS Preliminary Judging (Diamond Hotel) on Nov. 1. Psalmstre welcomes Miss Earth 2018 candidates

Jaime Acosta, President and CEO of Psalmstre Enterprises, Inc. welcomed the 30 candidates of the Miss Earth 2018 beauty pageant during a meet-and-greet event at the Windsor Gardens Pavilion and Resort in Marikina City on Tuesday, Oct. 23. No Darling of the Press? Miss Earth official tells us why

For the first time in recent years, the Miss Earth 2018 pageant scrapped the "Darling of the Press" special award "to be fair" to all the candidates. "They say it's always the Philippines who wins this special award. So I decided to scrap it this year to be fair," says Carousel Productions Executive Vice President Lorraine Schuck, during an interview at the press presentation of official candidates for Miss Earth 2018 pageant held at Diamond Hotel in Manila on October 11. The Darling of the Press has been a customary special award in prestigious pageants which is given to the candidate who exudes appeal and charm for the members of the press who cover the pageant. The winner is selected through ballots as voted upon by members of the press, although the winner of the special award has no bearing during coronation night on Nov. 3. But Schuck says the organization might revise its rules in choosing the Darling of the Press in the future...

Reigning Miss Earth Karen S. Ibasco has said that she might try television hosting after her stint in the environmental-driven beauty pageant. Ibasco, who is set to relinquish her title as Miss Earth Philippines on May 19, said that she wants try activities that will hone her communication skills. "I guess I wanted to try something new for me. I wanna try hosting. I wanna try more on developing my communication skills. Not really showbiz but hosting I guess," said Ibasco when asked about her plans after the pageant during an interview at the Outstanding Men and Women of the Philippines for 2018 awarding ceremonies organized by Richard Hinola held at the Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan recently. At 26, newly crowned Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco revealed that she never had a boyfriend since birth. "Yeah it's true! Actually my mom and my my dad were both quite strict with me when I was studying. And I understood why," said Ibasco, when asked if she really had no boyfriend since birth, during an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on ABS CBN. "And I am the kind of person who is easily distracted. So I also obey them when I was studying because I saw that my education was my priority when I was studying. "When I grow up, I saw that I would want a marriage as the same as my parents. I would not just want to go for anyone. I would really love to invest in the right person. For the fourth time, the Philippines won the Miss Earth 2017 beauty pageant in the person of Karen Ibasco during a televised contest held at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City on November 4. Other winners: Miss Earth-Water Miss Colombia Juliana Franco; Miss Earth-Fire Miss Russia Lada Akimova; and Miss Earth-Air Miss Australia Nina Robertson. During the final question and answer, the Top 4 candidates were asked the same question: "Who or what do you think is the biggest enemy of Mother Earth and why?" Miss Earth takes swimsuit round to Pontefino Hotel

Pontefino Hotel, fast becoming the top residence of choice for brief sojourners in Batangas City, continues to build a reputation for being the city’s leading venue for major corporate and social events. Just recently, the Hotel was once again the proud home and venue for the 2017 Miss Earth 2017 Swimsuit competition. Thirty delegates of Miss Earth 2017 visited Batangas City and paraded in their best swimwear for the pageant’s official swimsuit competition. The audience was treated to a feast not just for the eyes but also for the tummy, as they relished a buffet banquet all throughout the evening. The live band brought the house down with energetic music that greeted spectators entering the place, and then switched its gears to serenade the Heroines fighting climate change.
