Derek Ramsay signs off from TV5

After six years, Filipino-British actor Derek Ramsay bid goodbye to TV5 as he thanked all those who made his stay on the Kapatid network a memorable one. “Thank you TV5 for 6 great years. Thank you for trusting and believing in me,” said Derek on his Instagram post. He even shared a photo-op with TV5 President and Chief Executive Officer Chot Reyes, and Joji Dingcong, manager of Derek. “The projects and memories here will always be cherished. You always made me feel that i am truly family; "Wishing you all the best in your new direction for the network. Kidlat signing out for now. Love you all,” said Derek. Kidlat referred to the superhero role he played on the same network in 2013. When he joined TV 5, Derek debuted in "Kidlat" and then he starred in several drama series. Broadcaster Erwin Tulfo resigns from TV5

Feisty radio broadcaster Erwin Tulfo has resigned from TV5 network where he stayed for seven years. Tulfo made the announcement on his Facebook on July 2. He said that he will resume his broadcast duties in another network in August He did not mention what network he will transfer. His complete post about his resignation on FB: "Good morning mga Tol at mga Bes, Para po sa kabatiran ng lahat, AKO PO AY NAGPAALAM NA SA TV5 , ANG AKING NAGING TAHANAN FOR 7 YEARS, SIMULA PA PO NOONG BIYERNES, A-30 NG HUNYO. Baste Duterte makes showbiz debut on TV5

"Sayang ang trabaho." These are the words of Presidential son Sebastian "Baste" Duterte when asked why he decided to join show business during the launch of his reality TV program "Lakbai" which will air after PBA on TV5 starting May 21. Duterte, the youngest son of President Rodrigo Duterte, said that he never consulted anybody about appearing on national television. "Convince me? They did not convince me. Decision ko lang ito. Hindi ko na mapigilan kaya nag decide na lang ako ko try showbiz. Yun lang talaga yun. If it doesn't work out, uuwi na lang ako sa Davao," said Duterte during the press launch at the Aracama Restaurant at the Fort in Taguig City last Wednesday night.
