Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin lashed at her fellow Kapamilya movie and television stars who remain silent about the closure of major broadcast network ABS-CBN recently. "Sa mga kasamahan kong artistang 'di nagsasalita, ano? May career pa ba kayo? Wala na! Wala na kayong network! Kahit magpa-cute kayo d'yan sa Instagram, mag-send kayo ng mga sad face, di n'yo madadamayan ang mga katrabaho n'yo na dahilan kung bakit kayo sumikat!" said Locsin during a speech at a rally in front ABS-CBN compound on Mother Ignacia Avenue in Quezon City on Saturday, July 18. Locsin is one of the contract stars for ABS-CBN. Following her emotional speech, Locsin trended on Twitter. Luis Manzano drops out of 'Pilipinas Got Talent'

It's confirmed: Kapamilya star Luis Manzano will not be hosting the reality show "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 6 on ABS CBN. “Something new for everyone :) i opted out for the betterment of the show,” said Manzano on Twitter. Manzano made the statement in response to a netizen who reacted: "Parang its not PGT kundi kaw yung andun. Im not against Toni. Magaling sya.Nka tatak lang yung PGT na LuisBilly#justanopinion." Gonzaga has taken the hosting chores from Manzano now that the auditions for the upcoming season of the reality show have started in the Cebu recently. Actress Bela Padilla has said that she is still friends with her former boyfriend businessman-producer Neil Arce and Angel Locsin, the rumored girlfriend of his former BF. "Walang problema. Angel Locsin wins acting award in Cambodia

Kapamilya star Angel Locsin was named Best Supporting Actress at the 57th Asia-Pacific Film Festival held in Phnom Phen, Cambodia last Sunday. Locsin won the award for the 2016 movie "Everything About Her" which also stars Vilma Santos-Recto and Xian Lim. In the movie, Locsin played the role of a nurse caring for Santos who portrayed the part of a cancer patient. "Thank you very, very much for this incredible honor," said Locsin on Instagram as she posted an image of the trophy from the international film festival. Locsin was not present during the awarding ceremony, according to a report by ABS CBN. Filipino director Will Fredo accepted the award on behalf of the 32-year-old actress. This was not the first time that Locsin was recognized by an international awad-giving body. "Ang Babaeng Humayo," a story of a woman who was imprisoned for a crime she did not commit, was named Best picture at the inaugural Eddy's awards held at the Kia Theater in Cubao, Quezon City tonight (July 9). Shot in black and white, the movie also won awards for Best director (Lav Diaz) and John Lloyd Cruz (Best supporting actor). Also known as "The Woman Who Left," the same film won the Golden Lion award when it competed at the 73rd Venice Film Festival in 2016. But the movie withe the biggest number of awards at the Eddy's went to "Everything About Her" which won trophies for Vilma Santos, Best actress; Angel Locsin, Best supporting actress; Best musical score and Best screenplay. Kapamilya star Nadine Lustre is this year's sexiest Filipino woman, according to poll results conducted by FHM Philippines magazine released on June 28. “Nadine Lustre’s ascension to the Throne of Sexy comes as no surprise – not only does she have the most loyal fans, she also has the glowing assets to show for it. Give her a warm welcome!” FHM Philippines said on its Facebook post. Lustre received a total of 491,039 votes or 9.85 percent of the total. Richard Gutierrez joins Kapamilya network

Actor Richard Gutierrez is now a Kapamilya after he signed a movie and television contract with ABS CBN today, May 31. "I'm very happy and excited to be here finally. I'm very thankful to ABS-CBN for this opportunity and for the trust. Ang sarap ng pakiramdam na nandito ako ngayon. I consider this a new journey and a new chapter, parang nagsisimula ako ulit," said Gutierrez, 33, when he talked to the reporters after he inked the contract. Prior to that, Gutierrez was cast as one of the stars in a still untitled film with Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban under Star Cinema. It's confirmed! Actress Liza Soberano will play the role of "Narda" in the newest film version of "Darna" which will be directed by Erik Matti. Soberano said that she is excited to wear the iconic costume of the popular comics heroine created by Mars Ravelo. "Sobrang na-excite po ako and siyempre, I'm happy and I feel really honored to be able to don the iconic costume and to be able to embody what she represents," said Soberano in an exclusive interview on ABS CBN. Star Cinema has announced on Instagram its latest project which will star Angel Locsin, Richard Gutierrez and Angelica Panganiban. "Bagong-bago 'yung nangyaring team-up ngayon especially kasama namin si Richard. So ito hindi naman first time ni Angel makatrabaho ako and kami (ni Richard) first time namin magtatrabaho so ibang-iba talaga. Ibang flavors, ibang klaseng team-up 'yung makikita," said Panganiban in an interview published on Star Cinema's website.
