Meet a new face in pageant world. She's none other Resham Ramirez Saeed, a morena beauty with Filipino and Pakistani decent. This 25-year-old young will represent Maguindanao when she joins the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 beauty pageant in June. Born in the Philippines, Saeed has fierce features that balance well with her witty and bubbly personality. The future beauty queen was raised in six different countries until she decided to return to the Philippines to reconnect with her roots. Saeed visits the Philippines every other year but she realizes that her core strength lies in being a Filipina. Catriona Gray admits hiding in PH after winning Miss Universe

Catriona Gray finally opened up about hiding in the Philippines after she was crowned Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand last Dec. 17. "Well, I did go into hiding, mostly because I was in the Philippines for a charity event, but it wasn't actually my homecoming event. So I didn't really do a lot of interviews or talk to the media," said Gray, during an interview for Fox News recently. Gray continued: "And another thing is that Christmas and New Year for me is a time for family. I'm an only child, and I'm very, very close with my parents, who actually live in Australia." "So before the coronation in Thailand, the only time that I was with them previously, was in March of 2018. Former Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago revealed last Monday, November 12, that she was molested by a priest when she was a child. Santiago, 28, made the confession on Facebook as she points out that "sexual harassment is real not just in pageants but everywhere." Gemologist Mary Justine Teng, of Muntinlupa City, is one of the official candidates for the Gold Edition of the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 beauty pageant which will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on September 16. Her surname Teng may sound familiar to basketball fans, in reference to Jeric and Jeron Teng. But Justine says she is not related to the popular brothers at all. Former Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has said that she wanted to have a gay child in the future. Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who became one of the judges at the just concluded Miss Universe 2017 beauty pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada, has said that she was proud of Rachel Peters who represented the Philippines in the prestigious contest.
