Eva Noblezada receives Tony nom for 'Miss Saigon'
Another Filipino talent has been nominated in this year's Tony Awards which will take place at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 11. Filipino-American Eva Noblezada, 21, earned a nomination for Best Performance by An Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for playing the role of Kim in the revival of the hit musical "Miss Saigon." Now one of the longest-running musicals on Broadway, "Miss Saigon" tells the tragic story of an Asian woman left by her American lover. Noblezada will be pitted against other nominees Denée Benton, "Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812;" Christine Ebersole, "War Paint," Patti LuPone, "War Paint," and Bette Midler, "Hello, Dolly!"
