Thousands attend giant Christmas tree lighting at Araneta City

Image
Thousands of people flocked to Times Square Food Park at the Araneta City to watch two kinds of stars - the lighting of 100-foot Christmas tree and entertainers. People cheered as cellphone cameras clicked when UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassador Anne Curtis-Smith, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. chair Stella Marquez Araneta, reigning Bb. Pilipinas queens, teen stars, and city officials flipped on the switch to light the holiday tree spruce during the 38th annual event held last Nov. 8. Still one of the most anticipated events in the City of Firsts, the centerpiece of activity is adorned with 750 pieces of 9-foot garlands, diamond ornaments some as large as 30 inches; 250 cascading lights, sputnik and strobe lights; and over 1,500 Christmas balls in silver and gold, as well as teal in line with the new colors of the rebranded Araneta City "The Christmas tree is so beautiful! It's Christmas time in the city," said Letty Bonifacio, an overseas Filipino worker,...

Anne Curtis-Smith, Edward Barber to light Araneta City's Christmas Tree on Nov. 8

Image
Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis-Smith, Edward Barber of Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7 and reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens will lead the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event at Times Square Food Park in Araneta City on November 8 at 7 p.m. Unkabogable star Vice Ganda might also dropped by and spread cheer during the festive holiday tree lighting event. Started in 1981, this is the third year in a row that the 100-foot Christmas Tree is housed on the food park. Last year, Vice Ganda and Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo rocked Araneta City with their musical numbers. Will the star power of Anne and Barber break the 20,000 record number of fans and guests who witnessed last year's event? Reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens and other celebrities will also grace in switching the lights of the iconic Christmas Tree on the premier lifestyle hub. - Robert Requintina

Fans ng Aegis, madalas nagwawala sa concert?

Image
Il...

Anne Curtis still head over heels on Gong Yoo

Image
"Kasi Erwan and I talaga, every Sunday, we do a movie night. And while we are browsing, 'Train to Busan' came up. I asked him 'have you seen this movie?' 'No!' So sabi ko 'let's watch it!' Sabi ko he's cute no? So I researched! I lifted up. His last series was 'Goblin.' I watched everything. 'Yung series niya....
