Fil-Am model finishes 4th in Manhunt Int'l contest

It's time for Filipino men to shine in pageants abroad. Filipino-American model Jeff Langan won 3rd runner-up at Manhunt International 2018 contest during a competition held in Gold Coast, Australia last Sunday, Dec. 2. Vicent Llorach of Spain edged out 32 other candidates for the prestigious modelling title. Other winners were Australia, 1st runner-up; Netherlands, 2nd runner-up; and Vietnam, 4th runner-up. Started in 1988 by Alex Liu in Singapore, Manhunt International is the world's most recognized and longest-running international male model competition. Langan, 25, started modelling when he was still a child. "My mom got me started on my first commercial for Long Beach Memorial Hospital when I was a baby,” says Langan, in an interview for Fashionably Male photoblog recently. Newbie Filipino fashion models ready to rule the runway

The country's rising models are ready to compete in their respective modelling competitions abroad. This was announced by beauty queen maker Jonas Gaffud of Aces and Queens who presented the five models during a press conference held at the Empire Studios in Bonifacio Global City on Saturday, Nov. 24. Manhunt Philippines Jeff Langan will vie for the Manhunt International title which will be held in Gold Coast, Australia on Nov. 26 to Dec. 2. Joining Langan are GLAM Philippines 2018 winners Ella Lubag and Vince Marcelo; and Best Model of the World Philippines 2018 Aaron Davis and Samantha Lo. Will hot cop PO2 Don McGyver Cochico give the pageant another try? This after Cochico's fans are encouraging him to join the Mister World Philippines 2018 contest, now under the management of Arnold L. Vegafria. "Actually iniisip ko pa po," says Cochico, who is assigned at the Polygraph Division at the Camp Crame headquarters in Quezon City. If his posts showing his well-built physique should be considered, then the six-footer cop is very qualified for the prestigious male pageant. And given the physical activities for the Mister World contests, Cochico will surely pass them with flying colors. Cochico, 29, represented the Philippines at the Manhunt International contest in 2016. One of the memorable candidates to hit the male pageant scene in recent years is PO2 Don McGyver Cochico. He was crowned 2015 Manhunt Philippines during the Misters of Filipinas pageant organized by the Prime Events Production Philippines, Inc. headed by its president Carlo Morris Galang. This charming six-footer was discovered by Eton Concepcion, a talent scout who also works for the Philippine National Police at the Camp Crame headquarters in Quezon City. Cliche as it may sound, Cochico said that he joined the male pageant so that he could reach out to people. But this macho man would not have a hard time in doing that since he has been serving the public when he joined the police force six years ago.
