Thais rule in first Global Asian Model 2019 World Finals

Two Thai models - male and female - won the inaugural Global Asian Model 2019 World Finals during a competition held at The Cove Theater in Okada Manila, Paranaque City recently. The winners were: Falco Sornnarin, Male Global Asian Model 2019; and Artittaya Promchart, Female Global Asian Model 2019. They are both from Thailand. Each of them will receive US$10,000 (P500,000) cash and US10,000 (P500,000) of worth of management contract. Philippine representatives Ella Lubag was named 1st runner-up; while Vince Marcelo, 3rd runner-up. Other winners were: Alexander Tomohiro, Japan, male category, 1st runner-up; Luke Pereira, male category, Singapore; and Runa Matsui, female category, Japan, both 2nd runner-up; Anyssa Mendez, female, USA, 3rd runner-up; and Tran Quang Thang, male, Vietnam; and My Duyen, female, also of Vietnam, both 4th runner-up. Thai pharmacist crowned Miss Int'l 2019, PH bet in top 8

A 26-year-old pharmacist from Thailand was crowned Miss International 2019, beating 82 other contestants for the crown, during a televised competition held in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday, November 12. In her winning speech, Sireethorn Leearamwat said: "Do you know I was criticized a lot when I was crowned Miss Thailand. But I never give up. And now I am here. I dare to be a beauty queen even when there's really nothing to my career. I am a pharmacist. I used all the critics as a power to make myself improve to be the best representative and make my nation proud. So the definition of cheer all women for me is how to encourage support and inspire all women around the world that make their dreams come true and make a great thing to our world." Girl,10, to represent PH in World's Star Model Search 2019

A 10-year-old girl from Meycauayan, Bulacan who has already won 27 trophies in various pageant and modelling competitions will represent the Philippines in the pre-teen category of the inaugural World's Star Model Search 2019 which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. Denise Irish Repulleza, 4th grade student of Genesis Integrated Science Academy, said that she has been joining pageant and modelling search since she was 7 years old with the full support of her parents Jayla and stepfather Juan Benjamin Griffith who is based in New York. Catriona Gray flies to NY to begin reign as Miss Universe

Newly crowned Miss Universe Catriona Gray flew to New York City last Dec. 20 to start her reign for the most prestigious beauty pageant. This as Gray's Instagram followers have already reached more than three million just three days after she won the crown. "How I'm feeling now that there's 3MILLION of you on this journey!" says Gray on IG. Few days before the coronation night last Dec. 17, the number of her followers was only 800,000. Before she left the country, Gray would attend a private charity function in Metro Manila. As soon as she arrives in The Big Apple, Gray will do a series of press tours where she will make guest appearances on popular American radio and television shows and sit in on print interviews. Newly crowned Miss Universe Catriona Gray is expected to move into her lavish New York City apartment few days from now to begin her reign. This after she was crowned 67th Miss Universe during a worldwide telecast of the beauty pageant from Bangkok, Thailand last Dec. 17. The new apartment, which will also come with a year-long salary as Miss Universe and living expenses, is a part of her prize package. 2017 Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel Peters has already moved out of the luxurious apartment after she packed up in November. Gray, 24, leads the pack based on Sportsbet.com.au, a betting site in Australia. It seems like Asia’s top transgender supermodel/lawyer Mader Sitang of Thailand, who is famous for her signature hair-flipping dance moves, is not coming back to Manila anymore. This after former Mr. Gay World finalist-businessman Wilbert Tolentino, who acted as her manager in her recent trip to Manila, revealed that Mader Sitang refused to honor the contract he presented to her team in Thailand. This is the third time that the most prestigious beauty contest will be held in Thailand. It hosted the pageant in 1992 and 2005. Thailand has already produced two winners – Apasra Hongsakula (1965) and Porntip Nakhirunkanok (1988).                                              Gray tours the White Temple in Bangkok.
