Anne Curtis-Smith, Edward Barber to light Araneta City's Christmas Tree on Nov. 8

Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis-Smith, Edward Barber of Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7 and reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens will lead the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event at Times Square Food Park in Araneta City on November 8 at 7 p.m. Unkabogable star Vice Ganda might also dropped by and spread cheer during the festive holiday tree lighting event. Started in 1981, this is the third year in a row that the 100-foot Christmas Tree is housed on the food park. Last year, Vice Ganda and Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo rocked Araneta City with their musical numbers. Will the star power of Anne and Barber break the 20,000 record number of fans and guests who witnessed last year's event? Reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens and other celebrities will also grace in switching the lights of the iconic Christmas Tree on the premier lifestyle hub. - Robert Requintina 

Manila set to stage 13th Mr. International pageant

Carlo Morris Galang, president of Prime Events Productions Philippines (PEPPS) Foundation Inc., organizer of the Misters of Filipinas pageant, has confirmed that the Mister International pageant will be held in the Philippines once again in 2019. Araneta Center lights up giant Christmas tree

Thousands of people turned out and cheered as cellphone cameras clicked when the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City lit up last Friday night as it switched the lights on its iconic giant Christmas tree, a tradition that started in 1981. Thousands of people crowded the venue at the Times Square Food park on the premier lifestyle hub. It is the second year in a row that the 100-foot Christmas tree is housed on the food park on the corner of Times Square and Gen. Roxas Avenue. Judy Araneta Roxas, mother of Senator Mar Roxas; Stella Marquez Araneta, chair of Bb. Tolentino: Mader Sitang refuses to honor contract

It seems like Asia’s top transgender supermodel/lawyer Mader Sitang of Thailand, who is famous for her signature hair-flipping dance moves, is not coming back to Manila anymore. This after former Mr. Gay World finalist-businessman Wilbert Tolentino, who acted as her manager in her recent trip to Manila, revealed that Mader Sitang refused to honor the contract he presented to her team in Thailand. Tolentino made the hint on Facebook. It read: "By now, you must have already known that the contract signing between me and Mader Sitang here in Bangkok did not materialize because of the latter's refusal to honor such agreement. Fans ng Aegis, madalas nagwawala sa concert?

Inamin ng grupong Aegis na may mga panahon na nililimitahan na nila ang kanilang mga shows dahil madalas nagwawala ang kanilang fans sa mga concert nila. "Pag kinakanta na namin yung mga Tagalog songs, nagwawala na sila," ayon kay Juliet Sunot, isa sa mga miyembro ng Aegis, sa interview sa "Tonight With Boy Abunda" sa ABS CBN. Dagdag pa ni Juliet: "Sa sobrang enjoy nila, nagbabato sila ng tissue (sa stage). Ang nangyari, hindi na kami pinakanta ng may-ari ng mga original (songs) namin. Mga cover songs lang." Sinabi rin nila na dahil sa mga pangyayaring ito, ang tatlong araw na gig nila ay nagiging isang araw na lamang. Ace comedian Vice Ganda has said that she will watch the other movies of her showbiz friends competing in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival. Asked if he will watch "Ang Panday" by Coco Martin, Vice Ganda said: "Ay opo! Kahit yung pelikula ni Jasmine Curtis panonoorin ko din, yung 'Siargao.' It's confirmed: Kapamilya star Luis Manzano will not be hosting the reality show "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 6 on ABS CBN. “Something new for everyone :) i opted out for the betterment of the show,” said Manzano on Twitter. Manzano made the statement in response to a netizen who reacted: "Parang its not PGT kundi kaw yung andun. Im not against Toni. Magaling sya.Nka tatak lang yung PGT na LuisBilly#justanopinion." Gonzaga has taken the hosting chores from Manzano now that the auditions for the upcoming season of the reality show have started in the Cebu recently. Actor Aljur Abrenica is now a certified Kapamilya. This after he confirmed his transfer to the popular television network in a post on Instagram on August 1. "Speechless and honored.. Thank you for the opportunity and the warm welcome Tita Cory, Sir Deo and Direk Lauren," said Abrenica as he shared a photo with the Kapamilya executives on IG. Abrenica was referring to ABS-CBN head of TV production Laurenti Dyogi, Dreamscape production head Deo Endrinal and ABS-CBN chief operating officer Cory Vidanes.
