Miss Universe Vietnam thanks Filipino pageant coaches

Miss Universe Vietnam H'Hen Nie thanked her Filipino pageant coaches after she made it to the Top 5 of the 2018 Miss Universe beauty pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand last Dec. 17. "From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much, My Teacher Anjo Santos," says Nie on Instagram. Aside from Santos, her other pageant coaches were Gerard Ruivivar and Kim Rocafor. Santos, who was born and raised in Bicol, trained Nie in pasarela and make-up. He said that the national director of Miss Universe Vietnam approached him to train Nie. Santos and Rocafor trained Nie for the question-and-answer portion. "Miss Vietnam is so determined na kahit hand movements lang, nakukuha niya ang instructions," says Santos, who is an independent pageant coach in an interview on "GMA News To Go" program recently. Japanese DJ Rapper King Tomoro is in the house! Just recently, King Tomoro visited Manila to seek musical opportunities and possibly collaborate with some of our local artists. "I first came here in your country April this year. Since then,  I always look forward to come back because I learned to love your people and its climate which is similar to my place back in Japan and also to share my music to all party goers," says King Tomoro during a meet-and-greet event with the media at Sekitori Japanese Restaurant in Mandaluyong City. Panama beauty wows in national costume show

The pre-pageant show for the Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 beauty pageant kicked off with colorful traditions and culture as 50 candidates paraded in their national costumes at  Conrad luxury hotel in Pasay City Sept. 18. Miss Panama Kilmara Nayubel Carvajal was named Best in National Costume. Miss Vietnam Huynh Thuy V was 1st runner-up while Miss Philippines Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel, 2nd runner-up.                                 From left: Miss Vietnam, Miss Panama and Miss Philippines. Vietnamese model is Man of the World 2018

A fashion model from Vietnam was crowned Man of the World 2018 during a pageant held at FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan, Metro Manila Saturday night, July 14. Crowd favorite Cao Xuan Tai of Vietnam edged out 26 other candidates from around the world in the contest that highlights masculinity and responsibility. Philippine Clint Karklins Peralta, a registered nurse, was named 1st runner up. Other winners were Malta, 2nd runner-up; Czech Republic, 3rd runner-up, and Thailand, 4th runner-up. Sri Lankan is Darling of the Press in Miss Asia Pacific Int'l

Forty-two beautiful and empowered women from all over the world are vying for the title of Miss Asia Pacific International 2017. Some of the women competing in this year's pageant are models, nurses, lawyers, doctors, singers and actresses. During press presentation held at the Edsa Shangri-La in Mandaluyong City last Nov. 13, Miss Sri Lanka Hasini Samuel was chosen Darling of the Press. First runner-up was Miss Mauritius Aylasha Ramrachia and Miss Vietnam Vuong Thanh Tuyen, 2nd runner-up. Vietnam wins Miss Globe 2017; PHL's Nelda Ibe is 1st runner-up

Nelda Ibe of the Philippines finished 1st runner-up in the Miss Globe 2017 beauty contest held in Albania last Friday night. Miss Vietnam was crowned Miss Globe 2017. Other winners were: Siberia, 2nd runner-up; Albania, 3rd runner-up; and Cape Verde, 4th runner-up. In 2015, Anne Colis became the first Filipino to win the beauty pageant. Ibe, 23, is a pilot from Tarlac City. Her Top 5 finish continued the winning streak of Filipino beauties in pageants abroad. Recently, fellow Binibini Elizebeth Clenci won 2nd runner-up in the 2017 Miss Grand International beauty contest held in Vietnam.
