Panama beauty wows in national costume show



The pre-pageant show for the Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 beauty pageant kicked off with colorful traditions and culture as 50 candidates paraded in their national costumes at  Conrad luxury hotel in Pasay City Sept. 18.

Miss Panama Kilmara Nayubel Carvajal was named Best in National Costume. Miss Vietnam Huynh Thuy V was 1st runner-up while Miss Philippines Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel, 2nd runner-up.

Winners of corporate special awards were Miss Peru (Miss StrongHold and Miss Hotel 101); Miss Germany (Miss Inglot); Miss Portugal (Miss Inspirational); and Miss Panama (Miss Selective Professional).

The candidates are also set to compete in other pre-pageant activities such as swimsuit, evening gown and talent.


Fifty candidates from around the world are competing in this year's Miss Asia Pacific International beauty pageant.
