Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, Police Regional Office-6 director, has vowed to continue its intensified campaign on illegal drugs without let-up in Bacolod and Negros Occidental. This after some  P23,180,153 worth of shabu was confiscated in Western Visayas based on data from the regional office from June 27 to July 27 this year. Of which, the bulk of shabu came from Negros Occidental (P13.8 million), Bacolod City (P9.2 million), and  P162,653 worth of shabu were seized from the provinces of Aklan, Iloilo, Antique, Guimaras, and Capiz. Help poured in for victims of the deadly bombing at the concert of US pop singer Ariana Grande  at the Manchester Arena in England last Monday night, according to a report by The Telegraph. Police said that 19 people were killed while scores were hurt in the deadly explosion which police believed was caused by a suicide bomber. Grande, who will hold a concert in the Philippines on August 21, was not injured in the blast, according to her representative. Police Inspector Christopher "Chris" C. Dulagan is all set to compete in the first Man of the World contest which will be held in the Philippines on July 29.
