Residents of Quirino province woke up to heavy drumbeats as Rep. Dakila "Dax" Cua officially launched the "Trabaho at Oportunidad" (TAO) Movement in Cabarroguis town this province last July 27.
T.A.O. is a multi-sectoral organization that aims to uplift the standards of living of Filipinos by providing training, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities to Filipinos. It will tie-up with various groups for the successful implementation of the program, says Rep. Cua, of the lone district of Quirino.
"Ang gusto kong ipakilala sa taong bayan ay ang organization na T.A.O. at ito ay napaka-simple nguni't napakamahulugan;
"Ang ipinaglalaban dito ay simple lang - trabaho at oportunidad. Marami kasing nangangarap na buhay dito sa ating bansa. In fact, yung iba pa nga po ay nag-a-abroad para magkaroon ng magandang buhay.;
"Ang T.A.O. ay magdadala ng mga tao sa business sector. Yung mga naghahanap ng trabaho, yung mga school na nagte-training sa mga tao, dinadala natin sa isanhg venue para maging mas madali ang isang ugnayan para makatulong sa ating mga kababayan na makakuha ng oportunidad;

This educational roadshow and consultations is a two-day event with a theme, 'Building Learning Communities with YesPh and AHMPO'.
"Bago lang po ito. Siyempre magsisimula tayo dito sa ating bayan. Mas maganda nga sana dito makahanap ng trabahang ating mga kababayan para hindi siola mahiwalau sa kanilang mga mahal sa buhay;
"Nabuksan ang aking pananaw na dapat magkaroon ng international partners para maging mas maganda rin naman ang ating organization;
Ang pag-asenso sa buhay ay may kakambal na sikap din sa buhay. Wala rin naman pong shortcut sa magandang buhay. We believe that the only way to get a better place in life ay nasa puso mo ang trabaho mo," says Rep. Dax.
The congressman also gives tips on how to be successful in your jobs. "So hindi lang basta dapat makahanap tayo ng trabaho niyan. Dapat makahanap tayo ng trabaho na bagay sa'yo, yung trabaho na mamahalin mo, yung trabahong makakabigay sa'yo ng fulfillment. Yun po sana ang mangyari sa ating plata-porma."
Prior to his stint in Congress, Cua was first elected Governor of the province of Quirino in the May 2007 provincial elections. He was previously Vice-Governor of the same province.
Dax comes from a family of politicians. His father, Junie E. Cua, and his mother, Ma. Angela E. Cua, were former Representatives of the lone district of Quirino.
Rep. Dax finished elementary and secondary education at Xavier School in Greenhills, San Juan. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Business Administration.
