#IAmBinibini workshop session to premiere on Aug. 1

Excited to see the next #IAmBinibini workshop session with Catriona Gray and Nicole Cordoves? Watch out for its premiere on Facebook and Youtube on August 1 at 3 p.m. Last July 11, for the first time, Catriona and Nicole met the 2020 contestants online. The Binibining Pilipinas thanks Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. and Equinox Manila for making the workshop sessions possible. For now, here's a sneak peek of what to expect in the session:

Ms. Stella Marquez Araneta, chair of Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI), has announced that Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will conduct e-training sessions for the candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2020. Gray will be joined by Binibining Pilipinas - Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves to teach the 2020 candidates how to stand out and win in a beauty pageant. “We are delighted that Catriona and Nicole will provide online training and pageant prep classes to help this year's batch of 40 candidates and give each of them a winning chance,” said Ms. Araneta. “Being in a beauty pageant competition requires a lot of preparation and hard work. You have to be confident about yourself, your poise, and personality regardless of the way others see you. Therefore, it is important to be fully prepared and fully trained”. Binibining Pilipinas 2020 postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19

The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has postponed indefinitely the Binibining Pilipinas 2020 beauty pageant due to COVID-19, it was announced on May 25. Established in 1964, the Bb.Pilipinas pageant sends delegates to international pageants such as Miss International, Miss Grand International, Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Globe. In the past, the BPCI also sent delegates to the Miss Universe beauty contest (1964-2019) and Miss World pageant (1992-2010). The full announcement:

Binibining Pilipinas 2020 front-runner Samantha Bernardo of Palawan City went live on Facebook Monday afternoon, April 13, to cheer her fans and friends as she reminded them to stay home during these grim times. Binibini Hazel Joy Ortiz of Pasig City is thrilled to join a national pageant second time time. Pageant fans cheered for her when Hazel won Miss Bikini Philippines 2014. These days she's embarking on a new pageant journey this time for the prestigious Bb. Pilipinas 2020 pageant. How is Hazel preparing for the competition? Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidates bond with kids at Art in Island Museum

The candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 took a day off from their usual pre-pageant activities last March 4 to bond with children in a fun-filled experience at the Art in Island Museum, Quezon City. Binibining Pilipinas partnered with Operation Smile Philippines in providing the this year’s candidates an opportunity to bring smiles to select children who underwent cleft lip and palate repair surgeries. The girls spent the morning touring the kids in larger-than-life 3D artworks. Awe and excitement filled the faces of the children as they were joined by the Binibinis in a free museum tour. Everyone gamely snapped photos and wandered at the interactive picture-worthy displays of the museum. The competition in the country’s most coveted pageant is getting fiercer and hotter. With summer just around the corner, this year’s Binibining Pilipinas candidates brought the heat even higher in an exciting fashion challenge at Araneta City last March 2. And to spice things up, the netizens will have the power to decide who among the girls sizzled the most in the challenge! The candidates were given a fun summer treat as they went on a shopping spree for hip summer fashion clothes and accessories and for some delectable desserts. Laguna backs Alexandra Mae Rosales in her Bb. Pilipinas 2020 journey

Alexandra Mae Rosales received a warm welcome and good luck greetings from Lagunenses when she attended the flag ceremony at the Laguna Provincial Capitol in Sta. Cruz, Laguna on March 2. Also joining the welcome event were officials of the provincial capitol. After the ceremony and talks, Alexandra paid a courtesy call to Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez who gave his blessings to the aspiring beauty queen. Earlier, Alexandra visited the Cara Welfare Philippines, a dogs rehabilitation center at Villa Escudero Plantation Bay in San Pablo, Laguna. Alexandra's visit is part of advocacy on responsible pet ownership. She also visited animals rehab centers, like Cara Welfare Philippines, to engage, participate and give more love, care and affection to abandoned and rescued dogs.

Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidates bloom at Farmers Garden

Binibining Pilipinas tapped on the green thumb of this year's candidates through a plant care workshop and flower crown-making activity at the Farmers Garden, Araneta City last Feb. 28. The ladies were given a quick course on plant care by master gardener Lisa Matilla, who has been in gardening business at the Farmers Garden since 2012. The session taught the ladies about plant cultivation, maintenance, and sustenance. After the session, the Binibini candidates had a flower crown-making activity. Tenants from Farmers Garden assisted the candidates in making a "green" crown out of the flowers, leaves, and other materials provided to them. The candidates were divided into 4 groups of 10, with one selected per group as the best in flower crown making. The 40 official candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 sizzled up The Addlib Dance Studio in Araneta City for an afternoon of music and movement last Feb. 19. The girls took a break from their usual pre-pageant activities and experienced a different kind of training and workout – this time, on the dancefloor. The Binibini candidates faced the challenge of dancing Powerheels and Girlicious with Addlib Dance Studio’s dance masters Joe Abuda, Jawi Buan, Paula dela Blanca, and Anna Viktoria. The dance masters trained the girls to move gracefully while on heels through the Powerheels session, and brought out the Binibinis’ sass and fire while maintaining grace and poise through the Girlicious session. Binibining Pilipinas 2020 candidates tour Gateway Gallery Museum

In line with the celebration of the National Arts Month, the candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 paid a visit at the Gateway Gallery Museum, Gateway Tower last Feb. 18. The girls were given a tour of the museum by curator Gari Apolonio, who provided the candidates a quick lecture on the exhibited artworks. The museum visit provided the Binibining Pilipinas candidates a quick blast from the past courtesy of the artworks lined up at the museum's Sining Saysay: Philippine History in Art exhibit. The exhibit, which features 30 large-scale paintings from pre-historic Philippines to the contemporary period, is a joint project of the Araneta City and the University of the Philippines. Through the museum tour, Binibining Pilipinas aims to promote art appreciation while teaching history to the candidates.
